Hi,

I'm planning to get Gmod, and I'm thinking of JUSt getting TF2 with it.

Which is the best game to use with Gmod 10, and which great features are available/not available in Garry's Mod 10 with TF2?

I think you should get the Orange Box to fully enjoy Gmod. But if you had to choose one game for it, definately get HL2. But I strongly suggest you get the Orange Box.
