just checked realm status, all of them are low to med with ver few high's, strange for cat release, I expected them to be all full.
On Oceanic there are medium/low, but then 3 of the realms are FULL. I also heard that it's not very accurate (the WoW realm list)....just checked realm status, all of them are low to med with ver few high's, strange for cat release, I expected them to be all full.

[QUOTE="tequilasunriser"][QUOTE="Empirefrtw"]Sorry but 3:1 is do able if you are good but the upwards of 5:1 you just start dieing unless the others decide that it is low level gear day. Blood furnace is quite so bad because most of the horde are focusing on level instead of pvp but right now there are atleast 15 horde for every Alliance i see.FelipeInside15:1? damn, that's crazy. I can see how that would make it not so fun, but if one could find a balanced or semi-balanced server then I don't see why PVP isn't a good option. Diff'rent strokes for diff'rent folks I guess. A Balanced server would be great for PvP, but you always have the issue of your level 2 character fighting against a level 80 character... = INSTANT LOSS Starting zones and many of the zones bordering the starting zones are not contested territories. Lol, if a lvl 2 is in a contested zone they deserve to die.

Yeah makes sense but in cata the scaling is absurd my warlock has 70k health at 84 so basically anything under a well geared 80 is fodder to me.
A lot were at launch, but Blizzard has been working to raise the maximum player cap for a lot of realms.just checked realm status, all of them are low to med with ver few high's, strange for cat release, I expected them to be all full.

Dude you're asking the same question in 2 differ ways - it doesn't matter if you'll install expansions after you reach max level of original game - just install them all and start with whatever char you like toHello all, about two years ago I got World Of Warcraft and Burning Crusade expansion pack. I have not played in a few years so I am pretty sure ill be starting a brand new character.
I just bought Cataclysm and was told I needed to have Lich King expansion to, so I copped that as well.
What I am wondering is what should I install/play first?
From my understanding you need to be a high level to even use some of the expansion packs...I was told just to install Cataclysm and I would be fine. Then I was told I should buy all expansion packs I dont have and then I was told that I should just use regular WOW to level up and then use the Lich King/Cataclysm?
If you where starting a new character and had the expansions packs and were looking to get back into WOW, what would you do? Install Cataclysm and just go from there? Just install WOW and level up first? Install them all?
Thanks for any info!

[QUOTE="AutoPilotOn"]I was thinking of taking a break but since Kmart offered 15 dollar game credit with cata I got it today. I havent had a chance to play yet. I am thinking of doing the more casual route so I can enjoy my 360 as well. I wanna start fresh on a different server than my 80s something with some people to hang with and hopefully not wayyyyy out of balance horde/ally wise.FelipeInsideJust read all my former posts. I'm starting a Worgen next week on NAGRAND Server (very balanced between Alliance and Horde), a few guys from this same post are joining me..... u are welcome What time zone is that server?
[QUOTE="FelipeInside"][QUOTE="tequilasunriser"] Starting zones and many of the zones bordering the starting zones are not contested territories. Lol, if a lvl 2 is in a contested zone they deserve to die.tequilasunriserI have always played on Nagrand (PvE). I once remember I was on top of Thunderbluff and this higher level character challenged me to a duel... (he was about 13 levels higher)... I said "what the hell"... and accepted. My Warlock was putting up a great fight, but obviously loosing.... then near the end, he fell off the cliff.... WHAT A VICTORY !!! Rofl. That's a pretty lulzy victory. If you've never played a PVP server you should really give it a shot. You won't really get into contested territories until lvl 12-ish i think, maybe even 20 (can't remember) even then in many of those low level contested zones it is typically faction dominated. Take Hillsbrad for instance, it is largely horde dominated because if its close proximity to Undercity. Yeah, there is Southshore for the Alliance, but that zone is still Horde dominated. PVP is fun, if you ever play in the battlegrounds or Wintergrasp and enjoy it then you owe it to yourself to play in a PVP server.
He's right, u should play on a PVP server, its sooo much better than a PvE server. U wont die at lvl 2 in ur own territory since its not contested, dont have to worry bout that till bout 15 or so lol and right now, no one is ganking anybody with cata out, everyone is more worried about getting 85, professions, raids, etc... PvP is one of my favorite things about the game, should be able to tell by my achieves lol (100,000k kills, Battlemaster, Conqueror, and Rival title from Arena). I think alot of people miss out on alot of fun by not pvp'ing, and tequilasunriser is right, u owe it to urself to play on a pvp server.

Ahh cool, I thought Rogues was all about sneaking.... Trying Rogue now, if I don't like that then I guess it's Warrior... all the other classes seem wrong too for a worgen....Try rogue! I personally think they are awesome :). You dont have to sneak around if you focus on combat.

Rogue worgen would be awesome. Rogues are sneaky though, even as combat you will vanish -> cheap shot / ambush; its awesome!
Worgen druid is the best combo IMO, and the most fun class to level, you are effectively a rogue/warrior/healer all in one.

Yeah, my other character is a Warlock (which most people say it's the hardest to play).... so I like the idea of a challenge with the Druid (different classes). Maybe I should approach this from another angle.... is there a webpage which shows you the spells/abilities you can learn from each class? That way I can see what's more fun...[QUOTE="haberman13"][QUOTE="FelipeInside"] Ahh cool, I thought Rogues was all about sneaking.... You can just create a class and look a the spell book it will have all the spells in there that you can learn besides ones you get from talents. Warlock is a harder class if you plan on doing anything past questing but if you don't plan to do heroics or even dungeons they are pretty easy. Druid cat form in dungeons and up are pretty hard to master but the other forms aren't.Very weird, it actually says on the box that you need Wrath.... and on the Wrath box it says you need BC.... Call again and talk to some OTHER Blizz Rep, maybe you got a Noob...hahahahha[QUOTE="FelipeInside"][QUOTE="kozzy1234"]
Wierd, I just contacted a Blizzard rep to ask them and they said to NOT install all of them in order.. that I should just install Cataclysm.....
kozzy1234
Yeah he said that you need to own those and have the serial for em, but that you can just install Cataclysm first if you dont have any WOW files installed on yoru computer, as the Cataclysm disc has all that previous stuff. I donno, I am goign to install Cataclysm after I register these serial numbers and see whats up.
That is true... But the way the expansion discs work is that they have all of the previous games patches on them... So simply installing Cataclysm would work, but then you would have to download everything released between what you already have from BC and before up to the launch of Cataclysm...
So unless your connection can download and decrypt faster than data can be ripped from your DVD at 16x, I would use the discs...

A friend is going to lend me his account because I'm interested in watching the changes that have happened to Azeroth. A question for the people who retired but got in the game again: you need to install WoTLK or only with installing Cataclysm and the original WoW is enough? Cataclysm DVD install the content of Outlands and Northrend?
Cataclysm INSTALLS EVERYTHING.... (you still might need to download updates though)FelipeInsideSo, if I just bought Cataclysm, I wouldn't need to buy the previous three games?

Oh, ok. That would've been an incredible deal. :P
I was thinking about trying WoW, and with the release of Cataclysm, it seems as good a time as any.

It's the BEST time to try WoW. (and the original game + expansions is cheap now anyway) I have just started a new character. Pity for me I decided to get into it after it ended. I think if you buy all of them, you can get that for 99 bucks from the blizzard store (26% discount I think).
