Alright so I'm not a big supporter of EVGA after their fan expired after one year and no real way to repair or replace so I decided on a new video card. I want to get the Radeon HD4890 and that's my official decision. However, there are many diffrent er, companies or whatever that manufacture it. I want to know what manufacturer will be best for my needs. I need a long lasting graphic card that should it break will have a warranty so that I can repair it and not deal with the issue of buying yet another one. I made a mistake not researching longer and finding a good card that wouldn't have a dead fan by the end of the year and I'm prepared to avoid that mistake this time. So in short:

I need a manufacturer of this graphic card that has a long lasting fan and graphic card along with a warranty of a way to repair it. I would also if manufacturer even matters on this issue, like one that has a smaller version to make sure it fits into my computer.

I see brands like VisionTek and XFX and I'm not sure what brand would be best for a good, effecient, long lasting graphics card. Please help me find that one. If you need anymore info I'd be happy to give you it.

In my opinion HIS makes the best coolers, so if you find one with an HIS cooler, I'd pick that.

MY OPINION!

Get an XFX if you are looking for warranties. They offer double lifetime and you just can't beat that.

As Sparticus247 said XFX is very good for warranties. They are also overcleced a bit. Stay away from gigabyte though. I have one from them and it has an aftermarket zalmann cooler on it. It works well (might even be better than a normal cooler, never get above 50C) but it is very loud.

out of curiosity; what do you mean fan has expired? there has to be some sort of warranty still in place if this happened in a year, have you contacted either the store you purchased it or the manufacturer itself? if there's no more warranty give it a second life by getting an aftermarket cooler.

on topic: i have had good experiences with sapphire, asus and currently own a his hd4850. i picked it for the cooler and it does an above average job but the electronics emit an annoying high pitched noise once the fan revs up under higher temps. no deal breaker though.

I meant it broke. Just won't work. My computer constantly overheats now and sadly enough it's been slightly over a year so no there is no possibility of repairing it. That graphic card was primitive however. I'm just looking for a long lasting new one so that I don't have to replace again for quite some time.
