I've got a usb recoil gamepad that I've rarely used. I'd like to have some console like fun on my PC. I don't own any consoles as I sold them recently to get my car fixed, but still want to have some good old controller fun. I like games that utilize a keyboard and mouse, but I'm not after that right now.

I'm looking for a game that can be played "functionally" with a usb gamepad on the PC. I don't want a game that just can use a gamepad, but that the gameplay will actually be better or just as good with a controller as opposed to a keyboard/mouse combo. Anyone have any suggestions?

I'm looking for retail suggestions and games that I can download (I don't mind paying a small fee to download a game legitely like on Steam, ie.)

*Note: My PC isn't stellar, so I'll need a game with low or average system requirements. I've got a sockety 754 Athlon 64 3200+, 8X AGP ATI Radeon x1600 Pro w/ 512 GDDR2, and 1 gig of single channel RAM . Also, I don't have an uber fast inet connection, so hopefully if it's a downloadable it won't be overly gigantic in file size. Thanks! *

Any third person game, like prince of persia is alot better with a gamepad, or racing games are better if you don't have a wheel.

For a gamepad racing and sports games are usually the best. I'd advise staying away from fps. If ur into soccor at all i highly advise winning eleven.

Bioshock is the perfect game that completely utilizes the xbox 360 controller. You get the console interface when you plug in the 360 controller and plays exacty like the 360 counterpart. The PC has the best of both worlds in this scenario since you can simply plug the controller back out and the game reverts back the PC interface. Best utilization of an gamepad ever if you ask me.

Whatever GFW magazine is I'll never read it because if they say that they are completely retarded. I tried lost planet with a gamepad and gave it up after about 45 seconds. It's useless compared to the mouse and keyboard.
