I am sick of GS these days there is no Good PC reviews or there is no Reviews at all ( I am still waiting OFP:DR and Risen Reviews ) so is there any site who care about about PC and write good Reviews ( when I say Good reviews I mean that The Reviewer Played the game on PC !!)

Nowadays GS reviews on the PC section only MMO's or mainly over-hyped games, which in most of the cases, are a copy paste of the X360 review. Let us not even mention the Video Reviews... I'm quite disappointed.

gamespot isnt that bad. although their video reviews are lacking. ign video reviews just read out the written review, which is way better.

gamerankings.com give an overall rating based on what the major sites gave a game. its pretty good to get the general vibe

IGN's reviews are sometimes so far off. It's like the reviewer is an idiot and doesn't recognize the important aspects of a game and what he should be talking about. I've been led to buy bad games because IGN gave them an overly positive review, or played great games that IGN gave a poor review, more times than I care to admit. GS is at least pretty good with their reviews.

If I'm really looking for reviews, I just head to metacritic and browse through and read through a few varied reviews from listed websites.

Gamespot gave Mount and Blade a 6! IGN gave Empire Total War a 9.5/10! :?
I'm looking at GiantBomb for quicklooks and reviews now. Plus, they're pretty funny.

At least GS are consistently brutal with their reviewing, so you know a high-scoring game is a definite must-buy while a low-scoring game is buy at your own risk. I probably wouldn't give M&B much higher than 7.

Maybe they are "brutal" because they don't know what they are talking about, and they have the grammar skills of a fourth grader texting. :?

GB is good for a laugh but for advice as for what to buy i'ld look at PC Gaming print publications, they may not be perfectly up to date but they do have very well written reviews and they cover a lot more games than most sites.

From the big gaming sites i found IGN do a more decent job when comes to review pc games since they review alot of games that GS misses

Aside IGN and GS

Rock Paper Shotgun

Yougamers

Probably the best 2 sites dedicated solely to pc gaming. Everything about pc games from small indie games to big releases to rumors all here

Bittech is also decent although their main job is gaming hardware related but they do properly review pc games and dont copy the console review

To the TC: Its the publishers fault for sending the 360 version first. Thats the one they want to sell!! To this guy: What do you want? The game play isn't going to change, nor is the story etc. They do put in separate words about the PC controls and visuals sometimes.

GS' reviews are inconsistent. when i read reviews, i go to many sites like ign, GT, etc. rather than read one review. From there, i try to analyze the differences of the reviews.

Go to gamefaqs.com , find your game, and check the user reviews and forums....those are the best way to go since they aren't professional. Gamefaqs is owned by Gamespot but most of the content is user supplied. Bottom line is that all of the big pro sites (Gamespot, IGN, etc) have to deal with advertising dollars and thus on occasion will nerf a review. They deny it completely, but how often have you seen an really hyped game get bad reviews? In fact its laughable because lately a 9 is really more like a 5-6 in realistic terms. They say a 5 is average but only really crappy games get 4-6, and when I say crappy, I mean independent games that they don't mind flushing down the toilet in order to say they are fair and balanced, especially when advertising dollars aren't affected.

User content is terrible. Not only are most of the reviews very poorly written, but scores range from 1/10 to 10/10 and everything in between. They're totally unprofessional.

Well theres got to be compromise somewhere. On one side of the fence you've got people who say pro reviews can't be trusted, and on the other side you've got people who say people can't be trusted. Forget the reviews themselves, you can catch trends in the user forums. In the long run, the only review you can trust is your own, and even then its based solely on what you like as a gamer, just as all reviews are. Bottom line, unless your willing to buy games on advertising alone then you've got to look somewhere, and for most of us that means everywhere.

I like watching video reviews from random people on youtube sometimes. They are not always the best, but some of them are pretty good, and some of them are just crazy. This one isn't for a pc game, but I thought it was pretty funny. The guy reviewing it is just crazy

I see people say this, but what proof is there? Why would they want this? A $50 PC game, is more likely more profitable than a $60 console game. If you take DD into account, its even more so.

You're joking right? More profitable? Look at the user ratings for Batman: AA for example: 3648 user votes for 360. PC: 1662 votes. Do you really need to proof do know that the 360 is outselling the PC?

Yes more profitable. PC games are cheaper to publish, there is no certification or royalites. Why would a publisher want me to buy a 360 version over the PC? I said nothing about overall sales. If a PC games and 360 game sells the exact same # of copies the PC will make them more money.
