Hey, everyone! Like the title says, I am looking for good photo editing software. I don't need anything as complex as photoshop. I like to scan or download album covers on google images. If you guys are the same, you know the struggle when you look for older or more rare album covers that have very limited uploads around the internet. I like to make mine look nice and crisp instead of looking like such an obvious hideous looking scan. If you guys can point me to the right direction to a cheap or free photo editor, that'd be great! I'm looking to buy if I don't have a choice so, don't be afraid to tell me about software I'd have to pay for. I buy a lot of my software anyway (I'm an awful pirate because I feel guilty and want to support the team behind the product lol). Just don't send me to anything as expensive as Photoshop, please haha.

I use a combination of these for different needs (apart from Photoshop):

@-paranorman-: Check out:

https://affinity.serif.com/en-gb/photo/

Not free but its not subscription based and it looks promising. I'm currently giving the free trial a go. Pretty cool features and easy to use if you're coming from photoshop.

IrfanView for example, and there is alot of such completely free software. Windows Paint, actually, allows many of basic editing features. ) I suspect that many people are lazy simply to browse Windows Start menu. ;-)

I would highly suggest KrojamSoft PhotoViewerPro. It’s simple software and lets you browse image files from your PC. It's very user-friendly.

Gimp is definitely the best choice, as powerful as pshop and free with tons of plugins.
