you see id believe you but i also have a classroom of computers with the EXACT same problem.
my teach refuses to abandon firefox but the rest of us have as a result presentations and lectures he does that involve video's such as this one:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kMHXAdDpjq0&feature=related
take forever to get going and really make them drag on..1 pc your problem, 2 pc their problem, 29 pc's now its not just a problem anymore.

we can throw anecdotes at each other all day. that video loads instantly on every one of my computers (including ones without SSDs, and 5 year old seagate drives). computers at work load youtube videos in firefox as fast as they do in chrome.
a feature doesn't function correctly on your computer. it functions correctly for the majority of users. if it's not a top priority thing on bugzilla, it's a problem with your system
regretably i dont believe you and still wont im sorry when it stops happening ill happily let you know. firefox isnt welcome on my PC anymore. or any pc's that reside in the same house as me.
and its not a case of a software problem either.. nothing interferes with firefox and plugins havent failed. finally i am spyware/malware/rootkit/virus free and have no one stealing bandwidth. cookies are dumped and so is history regularly.
wow, you don't believe me? what do i have to gain lying about that? it seems like you have a super bias against firefox, you should have realised that anecdotal evidence means absolutely nothing and advised him to try out all the major browsers and settle on one he likes. I'm not a fool, I have to deal with the nuances of these browsers regularly (I'm a freelance web developer and I do R&D with web platf- oh wait, I guess you don't believe me right?). You want me to make a video or something showing that it loads just fine?
people these days
