was wondering if anyone can help me with this. well mt tv's native is 720p and it goes up to 1080i, now i was wondering if a game supports up to 1080p, is it better to leave my resolution at 720p or 1080i? and i know 720p is better, but like i said if a game goes and supports up to 1080p is it better to leave it at 1080i (which is the highest my tv goes up to) or it be better off at 720p

thanks for ur help

p.s are sony bravias good tvs?JoKeR_421

Wait dude, your at MSU too?

Anyway, run it in 720p. Your games are native 720p and upscaling will not do much for your t.v.

first off, bravias are charged at a higher price than the rest of the lcds at the same size, probably a 200-300 premium. Some people have complained with the bravias and ghosting, clouding, flashlgihts. but then again, it could just be the set as a lot of people usually like their bravias. Find out more about peoples' bravias over at avsforum.com. Second, play your games at 720p. Playing it at 1080i will be fine for games that dont involve fast action, but for games like basketball, you are better of at 720p. Hope that helps.
