yea, i posted this in the general hardware section, and they told me to come here. Anyway, i can't seem to find which type of video cards my motherboard supports, but i know its the Dell DM051. Thanks in advance

so anything above $299? The best thing out there is the 8800 Ultra but the 8800gt, which is about 279, is very close to that amount of power.

Google CPUZ, and use that to find out what your motherboard is. You must know this, so we can determine what graphic interface it uses, if it's AGP, PCI-E, or PCI.

Ok first we have to find out what Slot you have sooo Download CPUZonce you run it There will be a few tabs towards the top click the one that says "Mainboard" And towards the bottom there will be the details on your Interface I made a little screenie to help you:D

Oh!!! then you want a 8800gt. As long as your port is a PCI-E 16x port (which they do), it will work.

well mine has a PCI- Express, thanks so much for your help you guys! edit: sorry im a total noob at computers, but its the 8800gt a type of graphics card or a specific brand?

The 8800gt may be a bit faster, but for only $229 USD, you can get the new ATI 3870, or to be precise... the "Diamond Viper Radeon HD 3870 512MB GDDR4 PCI-E Dual DVI-I HDCP HDMI HDTV Out Video Card" http://www.ncixus.com/products/26983/3870PE4512SB/Diamond/
