I have a 22'' LCD monitor with HDCP support. It has a maximum resolution of 1680 x 1050. I play PS3 games on it at 720p and PC games at 1680 x 1050... I wanted to know which one should look better graphically? Since I do not own any game which can be played on both PS3 and PC, so it is kind of difficult for me to see it.....

Not a simple answer.

PC: Depending on the specifications of your PC you may or may not be able to achieve PS3 level graphics.

PS3: The graphics will not get any better and the fact that you are running the game in a resolution that is not native to the display you are distorting it.

Take a game like Devil May Cry 4, it is on the PC and PS3 and it is capable of looking immensely better on the PC, but again that potential is limited to the machine you have.

if you think it's hard for a pc to "outperform" ps3, then i suggest you show me a ps3 game that uses DX10 features. no, it doesnt cost 2000$ to build a good computer................

Where did I say hard for a PC to outperform a PS3? Where did I say a good computer costs $2000? I'll tell you where. Nowhere.

If you actually took the time to read what I said, you would understand (or perhaps not) that I was simply implying that I don't know what specs he is running on his PC, and to offer a blanket statement inferring that the PC will be better may not be true.

It is conceivable to have a PC in this day and age that will under-perform when compared to a PS3.

my comp is 7years old and can still run current games, unless his computer is from the 90s, i dont see how it wouldnt perform just as well.

So everything in your computer is 7 years old? What are your specs? You're saying your machine can compete with a PS3?
