Right so I can get either for the same price. Which one is better? Do they have the same amount of content? Is episodes optimized more? Im running a core 2 duo @3.8ghz and an ati 4870.

Thanks

They run exactly the same. Pick up GTA IV first, and the Episodes second. They all tie together in a really neat way. :)

New patch makes GTA 4 run the same as Episodes. The patches haven't really improved performance much, but the shadows now look much better. GTA 4 has a longer story with more missions.

GTA IV and EFLC stories are somehow connected to each other, so I suggest getting both if you have the budget that is.

You won't know what improvements/differences Episodes has over GTAIV unless you play IV.

IV is longer and has a bit more to it, but if you jump straight into Episodes you'd be missing out on GTAIV which won't seem as good when you finally do get to it.

My advice is play GTAIV first then move on to the Episodes.

They do tie in nicely like psn8214 said but many feel that gta4 is lacking in the entertainment department, so you may want to skip to the far superior Episodes.

The episodes are far worse compared to the original...
