That GTX 280 is recertified, meaning it broke, EVGA repaired it and put it back on sale.

They're extremely close to each other, but if I'm not mistaken the GTX 275 uses 55nm tech while the 280 uses 65nm.

Seeing as the 280 is recertified, I'd get the 275.

I'd say get the 275. See if you can order this somehow http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814143183 It's cheap and you get a free 50$ batman game.

Your current card is a 6600? Since it's a big jump, just making sure, you've got and adequate PSU, compatible motherboard and decent CPU right? Also you should go with the GTX 275 although facing the same decision I went with the GTX 280, extra memory seemed worth it to me.

Get the GTX 275. The 280 is recertified (most likely came from the step-up program). The 275 also is eligible for the step-up program and the lifetime warranty, if registered in the first 30 days of purchase. The GTX 280 is no longer being made.

Tell us what CPU and motherboard you have, if you're not sure download CPU-Z it'll have all the info. I have a feeling you're gonna need a lot more than just a new video card for some reason:P
