1920x1080 resolution. It starts me on high settings with a few slow downs I didn't measure the fps. I switched to medium settings and it runs amazingly smooth and no slow downs, I'd say at least 60fps or more easily on medium.
I'll see if I can measure the fps and edit this post for you.
That's not bad for 1080p. I'm personally gonna only be able to run the game at 1280x1024 so I can prolly run on high (hopefully).1920x1080 resolution. Really? With my 2 460's I am getting 50-90fps on Ultra, HBAO, 4xAA, 16xAF, motion blur 75%.... But that is with 1680x1050.At 1080p i would say medium. With my two 460's i only get 50-70 fps on high on metro

I'm running it on high at 1680x1050, no AA, 16xAF and it's completely smooth both indoors and outside. I think they're majorly overstating what it takes to run this game to sell new hardware. It runs better than BC2 for me, and this is just the beta, the final build should be better otpimized.
Also, I'm playing this on a really old dual core, so the people saying you need a quad core for this game are flat out wrong.

If you go to the geforce.com it'll have a spot to compare what video cards should be running at in battlefield 3 for NVIDIA cards.
The 460 at 1920x1080 is around 35fps on high settings in DX11. So tune it down a bit and it'll be running extremely smooth.
And besides, on multiplayer, do you really have enough time to take in the sights at Ultra quality? I'm too focused on playing and it already looks amazing at medium quality and runs extremely smooth. I will upgrade for looks on single player :)
Is Caspian Border based on a newer build?

Everyone is reporting better frames from it and its an enormous map with a LOT more going on. So I guess so. But my little 560 Ti is doing great on Metro. I know ultra doesn't work but when everything is set to Ultra I get 42 FPS outside. 65 FPS in the tunnels and about 50 the far side of them
I have a MSI 1GB GTX 460 OC edition Cyclone and I have been very impressed with how well the beta runs so far with it. Never gone below 45FPS and I play at 1680x1050m, was running on High settings. Also got a overclock of 840/1680/1950, with the latest Nvidia drivers for BF3 beta.
This is all I wanted from the beta to be honest, was to see how it would run.
Cant wait to try that Caspian map in the full version.
