A storm is coming... A factory OC'd doing better than stock 680, and the 670 matching the 680 while both overclocked, GTX 670 hitting 1.3 GHz and getting 11k in 3DMark P score, just read through the whole thread. Two people have the gigabyte 670 OC version and have validated those results. Simply amazing.

Huh? I'll wait for more benchmarks, but if I see more of that, then...

Wow, it would be nice to see actually benchmarks but if that is the case this whole 600 series is just a beast

Not a real big surprise considering the GTX 570 OC'ed like a mother trucker. Glad to see the trend continuing.

A stock 560Ti can be clocked to near 570 speeds. A 570 can be clocked to near 580 speeds. etc.

This was obviously going to happen. I bet they will be priced near the 680s too.

This would also affect whenever people want to buy a 670 or 680, getting an OC'd 670 that beats a 680 around the same price or less is good value.

It's pretty typical for the 2nd-best GPU in a lineup to OC to match or slightly better the top dog at reference clocks. The same can be said of the GTX 570 vs the 580.. or the 560 Ti vs the 570, etc.. Great example is the 8800gts 512 overtaking an 8800gtx with a slight OC.

Let's not forget GTX 670 can be this small as well:
