So I'm trying to get my hands on one, but I can't find anywhere that isn't out of stock or super overpriced. Anyone know when places like Newegg or Amazon will get more? Or anywhere that has it in stock currently? Everytime I see it in stock I run to grab my credit card only to find it's out of stock when I get back :(

They're selling like hot cakes in most places so all you can really do is wait for a break in the market. Or buy a pricey one. I'd say just wait it out a little and let them restock properly.

Or you could always get a 7970 ;)

And that very mindset is why the 7970 hasn't dropped in price yet :P

3/22 is paper launch, so it went out fast, 4/3 will be availble everywhere according to Nvidia's retailers in NA. suggest you per-oder it online. I know mine is coming in a week.

I got lucky enough to have a day off last week and the evga 680 showed up early afternoon on newegg. Like other ppl said they seem to be selling out fast still, but I assume by early april it will be alot easier

I did not really want one, but i pulled the trigger on a Galaxy GTX680 from New Egg anyway. I just kept refreshing my browser until i got lucky and one showed up as available. I dont know the Galaxy brand, i hope it is the same as all the others. I will get it on Wednesday.

I've been trying to get a second card but can't. I finally decided to return my 680 and wait to preorder a 690. All I need is one.

i was gonna buy one as an impulse buy i guess... but i also noticed all my regular sellers were out of stock.... so I'll just wait a few weeks and check back on the situation... cheapest i saw was 500 canadian on them.

Go to local retailers, you might be surprised that even the little guys manage to get hold of the first batch of them, saw some on a local stores website where I live but I don't want one i spent a lot on my PC recently.

I'm wondering when will the aftermarket editions be available? I thought about getting a stock edition but considering the heat problems I'm having with my GTX 480 I'm never gonna get a stock edition again.

This is a pretty clear indication that:

1)The 680 price is not in line with its market value

2)The 680 is scarce as hell

These things are true. What also seems apparent is that Nvidia is probably making a killing on each of these that they sell at the current price. This is really their midrange chip, with over a million less transistors than HD7970.. yet it outperforms it. I can't wait to see what the true high-end chip can do.

Would you recommend waiting for the new series instead of getting one of those 680s?

Depends. If you can wait.. then yeah.. I would recommend waiting for the 7xx just to see what they have to offer. If I didn't already have a GTX 580, I would have picked up the GTX 680 or two. If you already have a good GPU, then wait.

Is it me or the prices of the GTX 680 just went up ? http://www.newegg.ca/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=ENE&N=100007708%20600030348%20600315498&IsNodeId=1&name=GeForce%20GTX%20600%20series Last time I looked, which was yesterday, they were all at 499$ And another question, I was about to go with a EVGA model for the 680, but since my local computer store won't have some for a couple of weeks, I was thinking of going with gigabyte or ASUS (which they do have in store). Can you guys tell me if I should wait for the EVGA or it won't matter much if i go with either of the manucfacturer I just mentionned ?

law of supply and demand. There aren't enough 680s to go around so the price goes up

Yeah they went up a bit. It was predicted that it would go up due to the GTX 680 selling like hotcakes at launch. I'm not surprised.

I don't think I can wait, leaving my PC rendering at night turns my room into an oven :P
