Guild Wars Anyone?

hey guys ive been playing wow for like.... 2 years...boring..

i was wondering which guildwars to get, like the orig, nightfall, or factions.

and if i get one of the extensions,do i have to have the orignal installed?

sorry to bother, but does anyone have a buddy trial key? :P 

All of those 3 are stand alone games so you could get either one without the others. I personally liked the first one the best, then Nightfall and then Factions.

Exactly...Nightfall is the newest one but im not sure if the orig and faction still have alot of players doing mission. Imo Guild Wars is dead...every1 does their questing and missions solo with their heroes. I would suggest gettin the original...and learn the basics and enjoy it until the new expansion comes out which will have all the guildwars player join it.

And even then I'm sure many will keep playing Guild Wars. (ANet has said they will continue to support GW as long as people are still playing it) Not everyone is pleased with what GW2 is offering. Especially the PvP crowd.

Regarding player population; yes, a lot of people do use heroes. But you can't use your heroes for every mission. Many missions are just too difficult and to properly manage your whole party would involve crazy micro skills. Not to mention the henchmen aren't very bright, nor do they do a good job of using their skills.

Many people say that there are no players, or very few players in Factions. These people are wrong. I've been able to get a group of real players much easier in Factions and Prophecies than in Nightfall. Actually, I've seen many of the outposts with more active players looking for groups in Factions and Prophecies than in Nightfall. :/ 

I got Guild Wars when it first came out, and same with WoW.

In all honesty, I was bored of Guild Wars less then a week later. The game doesn't seem to have nearly as much depth as WoW, nor does it have as many items, good economies, etc. Guild Wars never really tickled my fancy, but thats just my personal opinion. If I'm going to play an MMO, I at least want a little depth. (I have not tried any of the expansions, so bare with me)
