GW, b/c it is free online play, and there is lots of content. Better for the long run.

You are basically asking this question: A great value for money MMO, or nothing at all....

AoC is in its dying stages, with shrinking populations, server cuts (signaling possible finance troubles) and lack of any type of support via patches. This is perhaps the greatest cock up MMO we've seen in years. Avoid at all costs.

Guild Wars and its additions are one off payments meaning huge value for money, and the community looks to be very mature (unlike WoWs for example). This question is a no brainer...

Guild Wars all the way. There's no fees to pay at all, there's a great number of expansions and tehre's a huge varity of things you can do in it. Plus, it's very, very long. Well worth the money.

Age of Conan was *such* a dissapointment. Waited for it for two years, and walked away after two weeks. Beyond buggy, and Funcom seems to be clueless about how to save this game. And that's just the start of its problems.

GW is real fun. Great, solid game - I recommend.

Guild Wars is boring, which is why it does not have a monthly fee in the first place. Age of Conan was good when it was released. Obviously, they did not have anything end game in Age of Conan, and it has a lot of bugs. They have done a server merge and I have heard some good things. However, I would not recommend either. But, it's up to you.

That is not exactly true, you only get one Elite Skill on your bar at a time. Some of your starting skills can be some of the most critical weapons used in your arsenal. If you are going to play GW make sure you don't become fixated on using one set of skills when you have so many different ways to work a character. Good choice over AoC, I had fun while it lasted, and it did have nice graphics, and the concept was nice, but unfortunately there was nothing else that pushed the title beyond that.

GW will give you the most bang for your buck. A quality game series but if I had the money I would buy LOTRO and skip both of the others.

so true i played age of conan in december when most of the bugs where fixed. Level 1-20 was really amazing. then 20-30 just sucked so i quit.

I don't even know why i am posting, but GW. AoC is dying as we speak, but so is the GW community. It seems that all that are left are farmers (which is an integral part of GW), but it isn't going anywhere. Remember though, most of the time, the experience can be lonely at times. I recommend GW though, despite it's flaws.

I played AoC for around a month -but it made me pine even more for WoW (which id been away from for some time).

Guild Wars, however, was a fantastic experience (especially if youre really into PvP) - only problem I had was that last time I tried to play it...I couldn't get groups for missions.
