Which one do you think looks the best so far? I can't really decide...so I hope that they will be quite different.

You forgot the WoW option for WoW addicts.
Seriously though, there's something about the general quality of experience in Pay-to-play MMO's that free ones like GW can't match (in my opinion, obviously).
That said, ToR is looking more lackluster every time new information comes out about it.
I loved the KotoR games, but stretching them out and slathering MMO all over them does not sound like a win situation to me.
They were short, engrossing, and very entertaining. They had plenty of atmosphere. As a general rule, idiots online ruin atmosphere whether they try to or not.
I am eagerly waiting for GW 2.... been doing that for the last 4 years now. However if ToR comes out earlier, which by the looks of things will, I shall play that until GW 2 comes out.
Guild Wars was such a good game which makes GW2 off the hop more attractive.
If you add into that I find SWTOR quite boring and believe it's going to flop it's a pretty easy decision.
GW2 has a more interesting world imo. Non typical mmo combat. Dynamic events system. More visually pleasing. Your own characters story. No sub fee.
I really dont see why anyone would pick swtor over gw2 unless they want a generic mmo or love the starwars universe.
I think SWTOR is going to released before GW2 though. No matter what, GW2 is an insta-buy. I'll wait to see what the reception for SWTOR will be like before I jump in.Elann2008I have the same feeling about SWTOR going to be launched before GW2 cause its looking great right now plus I'm gonna be paying for a Full yr sub to get everything even gonna pre order when it comes available for pre order from Either Steam or EADM.
Both will be day one buys for me, but I am very disappointed in SW:TOR so far. No playable wookiees really bothers me.
You can't really rate a game based just on it's price...GW2 is an automatic buy as it has no subscription so I rate it ahead of SWTOR.

I was originally more excited for ToR when it was announced. But it seems the more info I see the less excited I am. Henchmen in a MMO? More cartoony graphics than WoW? I"l pass unless I see some major improvements IMO. On the other hand every time I see new GW2 stuff it looks even better. I am looking forward to GW2 far more.SerOlmy
What???
If you include the expansions, GW had henchmen too....as did KOTOR which is what ToR is based on
As for graphics....it's an art sty..le and not that different from KOTOR... even the devs have said it's like 5 KOTORs in one.
Henchmen in GW was one of the reasons I disliked it, KotOR is not an MMO. MMO's are based around player controlled groups, the concept of henchmen is very unappealing to me. As for the graphics, it looks straight out of the Clone Wars cartoon. I mean I can understand main-streaming the visuals like WoW, but come on. You cannot with a straight face say the visuals look good based on the videos they have released.SerOlmyThey look fine to me. Obviously I would prefer ToR with the Crysis engine... but then not many people could run it. :) ToR is still based around player controlled groups.... henchmen are just there to help as well.
Not at all interested in SWTOR. I enjoyed KOTOR, but I absolutely despised KOTOR2, and SWTOR looks awful to me. Guild Wars 2 on the other hand is an insta-buy. I loved the first one. It hit a level of immersion for me that no MMO has since FFXI.
I'm on the fence with both. SWTOR looks interesting, but it's looking more like a story-driven co-op game, and I'll wait to see what kind of general reception GW2 gets before playing (I'm more open to playing this because there's no subscription).
SWTOR. I hated guild wars far too much focus on PvP. Plus you can't beat star wars lore.i5750at4GhzLore isnt enough for great games sadly. And since SW combat is so dull , when 80% of the time in MMORPGs you fighting i cant see how lore will save it VS GW2. I stongly beleive IF THAT SW:TOR was exactly the same game as it is with DIFFERENT name ,something not Star wars related , we wouldnt even talk about it.
What is "SWTOR"? I voted GW2. I can't wait til that game releases. That and Diablo 3 are the only games I am hyped for.
Guild Warts 2 is an odd way of spelling The Old Republic.
It's either The Old Republic or The Old Republic.
There is no 'or Guild Warts'.

RIFT flopped by whose standards? I play it personally and it's far better than most, if not all the crap NCSoft has ever put out.To compare it to a defunct and a soon to be defunct MMO speaks volumes for you.

No subscription fees and awesome universe. As someone who thinks Star Wars is just plain stupid, no interest in The Old Republic(although, I'd be cool with a Republic Commando 2 or Galactic Commando)

Guild Wars was inferior even to Warhammer Online in my eyes ( which was actually a good game, only unfixed ).
I was more referring to the general reception of the game ( a solid 84% metascore ) than how many subscribers it has, however.

Please show me how many numbers the game lost then.[QUOTE="SkyWard20"]

RIFT was most definitely a flop. Its community is quickly diminishing. Don't get me wrong, I do like the game, but that doesn't stop it from being a flop by standard MMO standards. But, at the same time, it doesn't even touch Guild Wars in my eyes.Deathykins

Guild Wars may have had a large number of people playing, but without a constant influx of revenue from monthly subscriptions there was nothing keeping AreNet from not supporting their game like other developers do.
I am not sure If I am gonna even try GW2.. I am kinda burned out on that theme and ones like it...
However, I love Star Wars and have been looking forward to a great SW mmo, and by the time I got to play galaxys Sony already messed it up...
I am 90% likely to try out The Old Republic.. Though I will not pre-order, or buy on launch..
I think TOR will be worth playing for the story, don't see it lasting past hitting max level though. Bioware haven't been big on gameplay lately, seems like it may be their downfall. GW2 look interesting but the gameplay looks like a big gamble and I've seen very little of how it works but I haven't tried looking.
