Half Life 2 - How well will my system run this game?

I would like to run this game on max, also, how fast will the load times be between the levels? My specs are as follows: Intel Duel Core 3.40ghz 2.00gb of ram PNY 7600gt 256mb (At the minute i am saving for a 8800gtx, i should have one by april 12th :D. but just for now, how will this card run it) Thanks in advance guys!!!!!Phantsy16

I have a similiar rig (only diference being mine is a Core 2 Duo E6400) and I can run HL2 at 1600x1050 with max detail (although I dont because I dont like the effects of AA).

you will have no problem. my pc is lower than that and it ran exceedingly well. check out the screenshots...
