can someone explain half life 2 to me? i know that youre morgan freeman and all that but is most of the game head crap zombies? and where do they fit in to the 'humans invaded by aliens' thing? i might buy it but i dont want to be shooting that god damned gravity gun the whole time. in the demo there was hardly any ammo so you had to use it but in the full game is there enough ammo lying around so you can use the smg or magnum? thx if you answer

in the game yes there is tons of ammo.. the demo is a very grav gun intensive part of the game. also you are not morgan freeman you are gordan freeman. The headcrabs come from Xen.. u must buy half life 1.. be4 u play this. i reccoment getting Half Life 1 Source off steam its like 10$ with multiplayer :) and then get HL2

1. It's Gordon Freeman, not Morgan Freeman. Morgan Freeman is an actor. Gordon is a badass.

2. The headcrabs come from Xen, the place where the aliens came from. They show up a lot.

3. You won't run out of ammo as long as you don't waste it.

You don't need to play the original to understand it IMO (I didn't). Just go to wikipedia and find a summary of Half Life 1's story.

As for the game itself you should buy it. It's a great game (many consider it one of the best) with lots of shooting (don't worry you don't have to use the grav gun all the time...although it is an essential part of the game).

Please play HL1. It's $10 on Steam and you won't understand this game at all if you don't play the first.

I mean...Morgan Freeman? Come on man..... ;)

No you don't... Half-Life 2 and 1 are very disconnected. If you changed all the names there would practically be no relation between the two.

Don't listen to those people. Halflife 1 is worth getting and will give you a great understanding to HL2, but you in no way need it to get what's happening. HL2 is worth it however and I would recommend getting it.

The level in the demo is the first level where you get the gravity gun, so they dont give you as much ammo so you have to use it. Through the rest of the game you will have enough ammo. I would recommend playing the first one since it is a great game, but you would be fine starting on the second one.

Oh and there are different enemies then the "head crap" zombies. There are some other alies, and combine, and those annoying spider things.

Yeah but it helps with understanding some of the characters and ...y'know...Gordon's name..OH and the origin of the crowbar!

Oh yeah, zombies are in throughout the game, but are mostly in the first half of the game. The majority of the time you fight the combine, which are alien soldiers.

combines are actually brain washed humans...while you do fight some aliens, they are not as many as the ones in HL1
