What in the hell is Microsoft thinking? The same thing is happening which happened to the first Halo port: Mediocre graphics with steep system requirements. The resolutions and textures aren't even that good compared to Halo 2 on Xbox, let alone other PC games at the moment, yet the requirements are rediculous, not to mention requiring vista. Don't get me wrong, I have a Vista/8800 GTX PC on the way soon, and I can sure run the game, but it looks like the same thing is happening. Not to mention paying 50 bucks for a game which came out 3 years ago, the only new feature being a map editor which in my opinion is the only thing saving this game from total PC floppage. :(Well, Halo 1 onPC was pretty popular, so I think it will do fine.

What is this crap? Whoops, it is your post. While it may be 3 years old. Halo2 for Vista looks a hell of a lot better then its XB360 counterpart. Instead of whining how about you do research? Better yet. Go get a clue.
As with any product, vote with your dollars, or lack thereof.
As for me, I'll be buying it.
Whether or not it came out three years ago for xbox is illrelevant to me, because its new to me.
Graphics don't look like they are Crysis level, but they look as good as pretty much any other FPS on the market IMO.

What I am saying is the game is HARDLY getting any upgrade at all, yet is requiring hundreds of dollars to play a game that, in my opinion, doesn't hold a candle to any current FPS games.
Checkmate. Many others believe it does hold a candle to current FPS games. I am done here.
They could of probably easily made this game for XP, but microsoft wants people to buy vista. I doubt many people will actualy buy vista for just this game.Swiftstrike5
I would be safe to say that your doubt would be wrong. Just look at all the console bashing that goes on in this forum. If you go by that, then the most of not all of them haven't played Halo, let alone Halo2.

Stop saying crap like "NEXT!" and "Checkmate" etc when you haven't even proven a point. People bash Halo 2 because the gameplay is too similar and is simply beaten by a LOT of PC games. Just because you don't agree with this doesn't mean people don't have a say in anything and are disproven by your ignorant statements. What is this crap? Whoops, it is your post. While it may be 3 years old. Halo2 for Vista looks a hell of a lot better then its XB360 counterpart. Instead of whining how about you do research? Better yet. Go get a clue.

Do research on WHAT? I already knew everything you have stated. You simply can't make up an argument relative to what I said so you say: "Go research."You are right, Albert. The same thing is happening, except this time it is even worse than when Halo finally arrived on the PC. This time, Microsoft is requiring you to buy a new version of their OS and is requiring you to have DX10. Neither of which were necessary for games that were released the same time Halo 2 was originally on sale. I personally have no problem advancing PC's further, but Halo 2 is hardly a game that requires the two stipulations that Microsoft is placing on PC gamers.
In my cynical nature, I see this as another attempt by Microsoft to make PC gaming look bad. I also can only wonder what their true intention of the Live Anywhere initiative they are about to embark upon. They certainly aren't going to let the Xbox 360 look bad against PC gamers with a mouse and keyboard, that's for sure. So how are they going to further penalize PC gamers in an attempt at making the Xbox 360 look like a better alternative to PC gaming?
