Judging by the past Halo games, Halo 3 should be coming to the PC 1-2 years from now, but nothings official, yet.

I'm hoping that after Halo 2, M$ realizes how well PC gamers can recognize console trash. They shouldn't even bother porting Halo 3 just because fewer people will play it if they don't. The fewer gamers that play Halo 3 the better.

What are you smoking? I would agree that porting Halo 2 to the PC was alittle foolish. I also believe Microsoft was not expecting a huge increase of revenue over the game. However, to call Halo 3 "console trash", clearly shows that you need to leave the "fanboi" zone and return to reality.

If you actually played the game then you would see why it should be on PC. IF you played the series then you would see why it should have originally been made on the PC, minus the "console feel". Absolutely fantastic of a game, and Gamespot's rating got it right on.

However since Halo 3 would most likely be on Vista only, it would suck on the PC.

What does that have to do with him being a fanboy?

PC-gamers just don't need another mediocre shooter

I have played all the Halo games surprisingly and i still find i dislike the series, it truly is an overrated one and a big let down for me personally. I admit i haven't played Halo3 as i don't own any consoles but from various reviews the reaction seems positive but the game didn't live up to the hype. I agree with you though that if the Halo series was originally designed for the PC then it wouldn't have that aweful "console feel" to it and would possibly live up to the hype.

And as you said if Halo3 was released on the PC it would be a Vista only deal. In which case i think Microsoft should give a free copy of Vista to everyone who purchases Halo3, now that would be a great way to make the Halo series popular amongst PC gamers. Assuming they improve Vista to actually be useful as an OS.

Rather than wait 3 or more years and port it when the pc would have many other much better looking titles they should port it within a year and try to get some decent following for it. If you are on pc and a halo fan then you've not been treated very well with either halo 1 or 2. Third time lucky perhaps?

Yeah but even if we got a free copy of Vista, we'd have to upgrade our graphics cards...to 400-600$ DX10 ones, right? Total rip off.

Halo 3 indeed lived up to the hype. There is no hype for you, because you aren't a console gamer. I used to be, so that's why I appreciate it. You can't go back in the year 2000, play Halo, jump to 2004, play Halo 2, and then jump to the present day and play Halo 3 and still have the same amount of appreciation and knowledge as all the other Halo players out there.

Just like me, not having very much appreciation at all for Half Life because I wasn't THERE playing it like everyone else when it released, so I really don't have any say in Half Life 2: Episode Two living up to the hype or not. About 2-3 months ago, I borrowed my friend's copy of Half Life 1. Played through, beat it. Didn't think much of the game. I actually bought Half Life 2 and Episode One though. Played through those (several times) and beat them. Their replay value was really, really low for me, for some reason. Kind of like STALKER, FEAR, and Bioshock.

But despite me being a PC gamer, there's something about the Halo series that has an extremely high replay value (for me). And I'm just talking about the single player campaign. I can't really explain it, but I used to play the original Halo 1's campaign for weeks on end with my friend, without tiring of it.

I still don't (and won't ever) understand the people who say "Halo has no storyline" or "Halo's story is so unoriginal" when in fact, it's one of the most gripping, epic sci-fi storylines we've seen since Star Wars.

In conclusion though, Halo should have been made PC or Xbox. Not both.

None of what you said really makes any sense, specially about the part of Halo having the best sci-fi storyline since Star Wars :\ Right when i played it the only storyline was your on a ship it gets invaded and you land on a halo and then you go to theres different locations to pick up stuff and win. Theres no chaarcter development what so ever in Halo and no plot twists or turns or anything deep and meaninful.

If you want story then play...

Max Payne
Final Fantasy
Metal Gear Solid

etc etc.

Don't play Halo because it doesn't have one but a mediocre thing to give you a reason to play through different levels.

Imho, the halo seriesis good on consoles because the average console shooter is garbage. The halo series is " pc quality " shooter, thats why its getting such great reviews, for consoles. Basically the halo series is good for consoles, but mediocre for pc, because the quality of pc shooters surpass it by alot..

And why is that? Becouse everything that can only run on vista must suck? Get your head out of your you know what.

Halo is made for a consol, and it is a great game on a consol, and it would be a great game for the PC aswell, thay would have to do alot of work on that tho. Like building the game from ground up. But i dont really give a damn if it makes it to PC or not, since thay will probebly just port it over, doing to little work to make it feel like a PC game.
2-3 close to 2010 and you will see it on PC is my guess.
And for you sasjebus, Halo 1, 2, and 3 isent a medicore shooter, its a medicore port to the PC tho. but the games arent medicore shooters, thay are great shooters for what thay are made for, and if they did alot more work on the PC verisons, it would be great there aswell.

But I am enjoying seeing that people cant see things for what they are.

No...The success of Halo is dependant entirely upon the hype and not the gameplay. Therefore, more of the game's budget goes to "hype" than actual "new development." I'm not saying I know that for a fact but it's the only game that ever makes national news for being released. Money buys publicity, publicity helps push copies, copies help push XBL subscriptions.

I've played tons of games that had no hype that are limitlessly more fun than Halo.

And btw...Halo has the most over-used story in Sci-Fi history. Super-human (A) saves world (B) from aliens (C).

Hello (A) we've woken you from your super sleep to save (B). (C) are attacking and threaten the very existence of (B). (A) I'm afraid that if you ever want to see (B) again you're going to have to stop (C) from attacking (B). Here's a gun, now go kill (C). And go kill (C) And go kill (C)...........congratz (A) you saved (B).

3 years from now, I guess.
