Well I have to say that Halo Custom Edition is one of the greatest multi-player games of all time. You can actually create your own maps and make them look, feel, act exactly like Zelda, metroid, Halo 2, even Halo 3 mongoose bike. http://hce.halomaps.org/index.cfm?PG=6&sid=10&Start=1&sortorder=8&fc1=-1&fc2=-1&fc3=-1&fc4=-1&fc5=&sc1=0&sc2=0&imgtoggle=0 Go to this site and check out some of the maps. Just about anything can be done in Halo CE so if your looking for great keybored mouse gameplay. Very good graphics. And awsome maps/mods in a gamethen buy it.

To be honest, I can't play Halo CE's multiplayer for more than 5 or 10 minutes before I get bored and have to quit. Even when I'm doing good in a match.

I never played this game. I was surprised that it is still popular online, even beating out free FEAR. How are the controls on the PC version?

If you don't mind me asking, how do you know that is has more players? I always wanted a site that would give me statistics on multiplayer in games...

I really like halo 1 on pc for multiplayer, with the exception of the fuel rod gun which was extremely overpowered.

Halo PC multiplayer is great-much better than the dumbed-down mess that is Halo 2 if you ask me. (Now if I could just find my CD...luckily, I still have my CD key, so I don't need to get another one of those.) The only problem is the overpowered Banshee, since the fuel rods will pretty much rape anything under the pilot's crosshair. It'll flip Warthogs and Ghosts with ease, and you can't jack them if you get close enough. On the other hand, you can blow it up with a rocket, kill the pilot, and the vehicle itself will strangely be intact still, ready for you to hop in and deliver some death from above. The Scorpion could also use more Halo 2-style controls in the sense of being able to strafe instead of having the thing always move wherever you're pointing the turret. Control-wise, it's pretty good except that you might want a mouse with plenty of buttons-at least four for fire, grenade, melee, and zoom. No, wait, make that five for reload, which is now seperate from the action key for some reason. Also, don't expect any aim assistance-at least not with the KB+M. Haven't tried it with a gamepad, though it's certainly possible to play it that way. There is one downside multiplayer-wise, though-no co-op. Why did they have to strip that out? It certainly would've made the singleplayer portion much less boring.
