I made a thread on here recently to fix my hard drive with the clicking noise of death.
Seems like it can't be fixed so I have to get rid of it.
So what is the proper way to destroy a hard drive and get rid of all the data on it?
Stepping on it?
Magnets?
Hammer?
Water?
Recycling?
Any ideas?

ok so you really want to make sure that the data on yourhard drive is gone forever?
follow these 3steps carfully
1.make sure the hard drive is completly encased in duct tape,{dont want any little peices getting loose.}now tape thehard drive to a telephone pole.get into a vehicle and ram into the telephone pole at exactly 73mph.after you get out of the hospital, cut your duct taped hard drive from the remains of the telephone pole.now if you have done everything right it should kind of feel like a stiffhak e sac at this time.
2.take your new duct tape/hard drive/hak e sac to the nearest parking lot and spend a hour rolling over it with somthing heavy{preferably a steamroller} while enchanting it with curses from the advanced d&d dungeon master hand book vol4.now scrape up the remains with a shovel, carful not to touch it,{dont want to set off any of those nasty curses}and put the remains in a burlap sac soaked in gas for 3 days.light it and let it burn for 2 hours.
3.now comes the hard part.sweep the ahes into a steel container.then you must infiltrate nasa and secure the remains in the next thing they decide to send into space.then you must reprogram said transportation to send itself into the nearest black hole.
it might be a bit of overkill but you can be sure that data is gone and have the added bonus of being considered"green" for not polluting the earth with another hard drive.
