I completely dissagree, i havnt had one crash or freeze yet and this game is the most fun ive had in ages.
The best 40$ ive spent on a game in along time. Only country i noticed that bug that you where talking about is with Britian, Sweden and the others ive done get attacked quite often.
Only issue i have with the game is the odd AI problem and the odd pathfinding issue. No problems that make me wish i hadnt bought the game though. Maybe upgrade some parts of your comp or make sure its clean? I havnt found one thing that makes this game UNPLAYABLE AND NOT READY FOR RELEASE. Saying its not ready for release just makes me shake me head, as that thought never once came into my head, this game runs perfect for me and my mates, i can deal with the odd ai problem.

Sorry, but that one bug alone is a game killer and there are scores of others as bad. The inability of the AI to land armies from its ships means that you'll never experience any serious opposition in N. America or India and the whole things becomes just an issue of numbers and attrition.
The save game corruption bug is another serious flaw. It's quite common that saves get corrupted and once one goes, they all go. It's also puzzling that Empire forces you to store your savegames on your C: drive and doesn't provide the ability to delete them from in-game. People are reporting 10-15GB of disc space taken up with save games.
Trade zones are still bugged and the tactical AI is very, very flawed. Seiging a fort should be a tense, thrilling experience, but thanks to a braindead AI, it's just a matter of blowing a hole in a wall, wandering in and blazing away at the enemy who just stand there, counting bricks.
The game's got serious issues. It's unfortunate that we have to rely on the modding community to do the work that CA should've done in the first place.
To each there own man, its wierd how i havnt had ONE save curruption or freeze/crash yet that you are talking about. Why are my save games working fine and others are not? I havnt expereienced alot of hte issues you mention, so time for an upgrade maybe?
Why is it that me and other people on my xfire are not having save curruption, crashes or freezes yet?
I have tried every country/nation and all the modes, finished some and other some up very high in turns just to see if there was any crashing or save curruption the further in time that i got. But still no save issues (over 9 saved games no curruption) or crashing, can you advice me how to experience this save curruption and crashing?
So, because you personally have not experienced problems with the game, everyone else is somehow lying or their hardware isn't up to snuff? Yes, that's the sign of buggy programming, 100% repeatability on all systems.
Head over to the tech support sections of either the official total war forums, the TWCentre - Empire Total War tech support forum, or the Steam - tech support forum and have a quick look around. Perhaps you can pull your Knight Errant routine there as well and tell everyone who is experiencing any issues with the game that, in your expert opinion, the fault must lie with their systems as you've experienced no issues. Surely CA and Sega need a stout defender such as yourself, braving the wilds of internet forums as you fight off all scurrulous rumours and chastising anyone who has the temerity to claim Empire Total War isn't just the smurfist thing since smurf.
(BTW, I'm pretty sure my system more than measures up, but thanks for the upgrade "tip". Very helpful, that. Please, do let me know just where my system is lacking, in your esteemed opinion. Intel 9550 Quad-Core 2.83MHz, ATI Radeon 4870 1GB PCI-e videocard, Vista 64 Home Premium ed, SP1, 8GB RAM, SoundBlaster Audigy 4 audiocard.)
As for yoru assertion that I should just "not play Britain" to deal with that whole, pesky AI can't land armies from the sea thing. That's assinine. As I already mentioned, not only does it make the game pretty much impossible to lose if you're playing Great Britain, it also makes Britain a non-entity if you're not. As an ally, they're useless as they can never come to your direct aid. As an enemy, they can't do much but blockade things with their navy. It's farcical that you would not see this as a huge bug in the game.
