The thing is I feel there is a difference between a perfect game and games I had the most fun with.
For example games like;
Planescape Torment
Company of Heroes
Stalker: Shadow of Chernobyl
Operation Flashpoint
Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater
Close Combat Series
I enjoyed all of these immensly but they all had flaws some of which were rather serious and made parts of the game boring.
However on the other hand there are games like;
Baldur's Gate II: Shadows of Amn
StarCraft
Red Alert
Half-Life 2
The Longest Journey
Red Alert
Counter Strike 1.6
I had a lot of fun with them and if they had flaws I never cared enough for them and let them bother me. However the high points of these games were not as good as the ones in the first category. In many cases I found that the games in the 1st category gave me more memorable moments and amazing gaming experiences than the ones in the second.
[QUOTE="Anthony01355"]But I have heard from a comrade that farcry 2 gets boring after a while.TALKING ABOUT PERFECT HERE!!! so i love the game, infact i think about replaying it...i loved it as much as i loved half life and deus ex... those are pure opinions because nothing is perfect, in any case i replayed hl and deus ex so many times.Farcry 2 bro.

I guess its the feel that you upgrade your character and you are a special agent, the tons of gadgets and so many things to choose from..so many options and choices to make along the way, but its not an action game it relies more on upgrading skills to be more accurate and hel yoursef by using items.

so does far cry 2 no wonder i like it so much... trust me when i say its done in a diffirent way, i cant guarrentee you like the game but:
There is a reason...in any case i like half life more than deus ex... i think haf life is even more perfect apart from the boss battle.
The perfect game is like a great girlfriend..You'll fall in love with her great qualities and flaws by the end
you will never find your game.I must say that with all of the games I have played,I haven't played the perfect game yet. Here are the marks of the perfect game: 1.Never gets boring, even for a second. 2.It's very enjoyable from the first scense until credits roll. 3.Not even a single bug in it. 4.100% replay value. 5.It has everything that a game needs: from story to graphics.etc.
Note:We're not talking about the best game you have ever played.

For me Half Life 2 was/is/(and i think)will be the perfect game. I go back to that game even after I've beaten it like 4 or 5 times. There are some other games that in my point of view are perfect for example : GTA Vice City, San Andreas and KoTOR I.

you will never find your game. Pefect game is not a game that you can find it easily.and maybe you are right,a perfect game will never be created by the hand of mankind.but you can't say for sure.I wait for the day that perfect game comes and save us all from bad games. No bugs, intense graphics+storyline, never gets boring, high replay value...that's quite a...list of wants.Either way...
For RPGs:
The Last Remnant(I didn't run into a bug yet...as far as I'm concerned)
The Witcher:Enchanced Edition(Fast paced point and click action game)
Though I really doubt RPGs have much replay value.
For strategies...
Lord of the Rings:Anthology(It's a package that holds Battle for Middle Earth I and II and Rise of the Witch King for a fabulous price)It's a rather good strategy game which you can use Goblins,Mordor,Angmar,Isengard,Gondor,Elves and Dwarves faction, each have their own unique hero and units and strengths...It will never get old if you played Skirmish in the hardest difficulty.(My last battle lasted for like a couple of days against 2 high leveled A.Is)The storyline should be quite good if you didn't read the book yet.Graphics are good for a strategy game.
Shooter:
Ehh...it's kinda rare for shooters to lack bugs and glitches. But the most interesting shooter I played so far is probably Crysis...but heck, you need a godly PC to play it at the highest detail.Crysis probably dominate the graphics territory with a decent score for each of your remaining needs.
Otherwise I can't really find a entirely flawless game.Near-perfection is possible but perfection itself is never a case of truth for different eyes see a different light of perfection.
Oh thanks,it's look like I should give Battle for middle-earth a try.many people here said it's perfect.and I am an insane fan of lord of the rings.herzalotif you tell me what exactly you looking for ill help you... specific ellement or gameplay no bugs and amazing polish best freeplay ever length story amazing gameplay huge replay value amazing levels what you are looking for?
For me I played 2 perfect game in PC i.e. Prince of Persia 1 n 2 because it is just awesome and perfect. 3rd one is not so good.
Bloody hell yes, Get the anthology, every game is simply worth it.For strategies...

You wouldn't accept it if you found it cause you've already convinced yourself it's not possable. You limit yourself. With your own criteria I give you Dues Ex. No bugs that I found, completely enjoyable from start to finish, exceptionally replayable with the difference in nano mods and playing style, great story with multple endings, and grapics that were top notch at the time. I reject taking a game down because of age of graphics if they were perfect at the time.
You will probably discount my choice by submitting that it's just a case of it being my favorite game but it's not. I have a list longer then your age for that catagory and really I can't like one more then the other, they were all excellent but different experiances. In the end however this says more about you and you limiting yourself then me or the games. If you think it's impossable then it is no matter how possable it is.
Well i think if i finished game 8-9 times i can call it perfect (ofc its personal matter) , HL2 for me is perfect .
Someday a perfect game will come, and all other games in production will be cancelled. We will all play the perfect game and no one will have any doubts, we will all see the truth in its perfection. The game will transcend our differences and move us into an age of enlightenment.
The one true game is coming and only belief in this game will set you free.
It has been foretold.

There will be many false prophets, and those who will claim the perfect game has already come. Some will claim that the perfect game is just mythology. Many will try and predict the exact time and place of the perfect games arrival.
Praise be to the perfect game, only those who believe will be saved.
It has been foretold.
SO our perfect prophet MeeJoe is predicting that if you believe some game is perfect then it is perfect and so you should play it to liberate yourself.
BOLD MotherF**ker Liberate your mind. (courtesy- DISTURBED) lol.

Your asking if there is a perfect Game, but you don't want us to give you our opinion of what we think is perfect?
Then why are you asking? No Perfect Game Exists. Which means we have to give an opinion.
Answer:
Baldur's Gate 1&2 - It has its quirks, but you can't find anything more perfect overall in experience than pretty much anything by Bioware.
I was going to say this. Im playing through it right now actually, and its aged amazingly well. Playing it with the high res mod, and the art is amazing. Fantastic setting, great characters, great quests...I love it all over again![QUOTE="TheCrazed420"][QUOTE="Rottenberry"]
Planescape: Torment. If only more PC games could follow its example. THAT is how you tell a video-game story. None of this re-hashed fantasy/Sci-fi dark lord garbage.
