Is there anything terrible about this card? Its in my price range. I dont want to play Crysis or anything, but I do want to play Half-Life 2 and Battlefield 2142...I`ll upgrade it later, but I dont want to spend to much...since I`ll just upgrade in a few months.

What makes that one better? The specs for the 2600 appear to be better.....Or is the 1950 just better for those two games? Or what?

X1950Pro is a great dx9 value card, 2600Pro has dx10 but you will not be able to play in dx10 to much game anyway

If you want Dx10 go for 8800GTS at ast if not a good dx9 like x1950Pro is the best choice for you. Those two games that you specifyed are dx9 games so...

You can use the DX10 card in a DX9 game, you just won't get DX10 technology.

Well the mid-end DX10 cards arent too powerfull but supposedly DX10 games are supposed to be more optimized but yes a DX10 card will work with DX9 - 1 games

Dude, even an X1650 XT can outperform the 2600/8600 series.

Since you're not looking at DX10, I recommend going for a good DX9 mainstream card (X1650 XT, 7600GT, X1900 GT, X1950 GT and X1950 PRO).

I was a bit close, but still, the 8600/2600 are pretty underwhelming.

I like this review better,

http://xtreview.com/review203.htm

It shows the 8600 performing at about the same level as a 7950 or 1950

Wesker776,trustedreviews? try anandtech or xbitlabs, their reviews show that the 8600GTS kills the X1650XT.
