I'm going to buy a Sapphire HD4850, but I'm not sure to bu the 512mb version or the 1gb. Is the money worth to buy the 1gb? Is it a big difference in graphics?

And btw, when I have this, can I just plug it in my computer? I think I have the right slot for the card.

Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Quad CPU Q8200 @ 2.33GHz
4 GB RAM
NVIDIA GeForce 9400 GT

1% difference at best.

What resolution are you going to be playing at, or what is your moniters native resolution? That 1gb would really only come in handy for very high resolutions. the 4850 512 is a great performer for the money though. You can find it for under $100 these days :)

It doesn't ASK for it, it just was made for it. It just happens that PCI 2.0 is backwards compatible with 1.1.

i had a HD 4850 1GB 256bit card. and it ran so well. only reason why i got a GTX 460 is because i wanted to play on DX11. but if DX11 was not available today ill still stick with my HD 4850
