i this may seem like an amazingly noobish question but can I pick up a monitor with a HDMI input, the reason I want a monitor opposed to a HDTV is because, first of all they're cheaper and second of all I really don't want to have to fork out for a TV liscence and if it's a monitor then you dont need a liscence. So there it is, monitor HDMI? anyone?

Are you asking whether there are any monitors with HDMI inputs? If so, then yes. Most newer monitors these days have an HDMI input. Just type in HDMI monitor in google, and behold the choices!

Nearly all LCD monitors have DVI input. DVI to HDMI cables are readily available.

For compatiblity, even if there are HDMI to DVI cables for using a DVI monitor, certain devices like the PS3 when used with HDMI needs a monitor that's HDCP compatible. But I think most newer monitors have HDCP, older ones don't

Not knowing a UK site, here are example options that came up first at newegg:

22inch HDMI monitor, 1680*1050

An unusal size 28inch 1920*1200 monitor (1080p)

My god, sometimes I can't believe other countries and how things are done. I know that some monitors with HDMI are getting alot cheaper now, dell has a 30" one that I really want.

I am pretty certain it would, depeding on the resolutions your monitor can support
