Ok, so today I got my BFG 9800GX2 and Cooler Master Real Power Pro 750W. now I put the PSU, connectin the 24 pin cable (ATX), the 4 pin cable (ATX 12v), my HD cable, DVD, fans, leds, and the new card. now when pushed power it powered and agter a sec powered down, and then automaticly it did it again for 2 times and powered down. so I pushed power again and it powered like it should, but there's nothing on the screen, it's like it doesn't get a signal or something. what to do???? Thanks!

First i would disconnect anything you don't need...

second, are you getting a totally blank screen? no bios posts?

Did you uninstall your NVidia Driver before making a change?

if you have an older card put that in and see if it boots. If it does then it is possible a GPU card issue, of it doesnt' it might be a Power Supply issue.. which then contacting customer support were you got it is a the next step.

Yeah, even if the drivers were screwed up all to hell, you would still get a BIOS screen.

Make sure the card is seated correctly, take it out and re-seat it, that sometimes works.

Try hooking the monitor into the other DVI port on the card. Double check for anything small you overlooked, very easy to do.

Trouble shooting time..

put your old GPU in.. see if it boots. if it does contact BFG and start a discussion with them.

If it doesn't, then contact the power supply vender...

I had the same problem once, but then realized i wasnt' pushing the power button in long enough.. possible try holding the power button in for 2-3 seconds longer than you normally do. probably won't work, but is a shot.

Well I would put the old card back in and do a bios update for mobo, and get the latest Nvidia driver.

You think it'll help? cuz I checked at Gigabyte's site and there are newer versions of the Bios, but where it describes them, there was nothing about solving a prob with the 9800GX2. http://www.gigabyte.com.tw/Support/Motherboard/BIOS_Model.aspx?ProductID=2424

Sry, but what are PUS Vrails?

Your PSU must have V1,V2,V3,V4 or something like that.

If you read in the PSU manual, its probable recommended to use the same Vrails. Check out your manual.

ok, have another Q. I don't have my card from before but I do have an older PCI card. Now for the PCI card to work, do I need to take out the 9800GX2 from its slot, or can both cards be there, operating from the PCI card? Thanks mate!

I had a similar problem with my 9800. New PSU and card at the same time. It didn't power off or anything though. I hit the power, monitor comes off standby but the screen is blank and windows still loads.

For some odd reason, I know this was stated as OPTIONAL, but I didn't get anything on my screen until I connected the spdif cord. Everything works fine now.

FUNKY.

Yea it's the one for the sound. You'd have to look in your motherboard manual to find the pins to connect it to on your motherboard.

I had the same problem when my gx2 first arrived, I connected the monitor to the bottom port of the card and the screen came up fine.

I'm having a issue with my GX2 as well, I put the vcard into another PC thats mobo is PCIe1.0 and the card says on the box it is 1.0/2.0 compatable however in my PC it loads the splash screen during post that says "press del to enter setup" and freezes.... if i spam delete and f1 right when I start it I can get into the bios so I think I need to change something in the bios, does anyone know what needs to be changed or whats going on here? the mobo is a k9n neo v3 and my PSU is a $100 750W PSU from comp USA and has 40+AMPs on the 12v rail and has the 6 and 8 pin PCIE connecters.

plz help me to :)
