If you haven't already bought that, you should get an i7-920 or 930 and upgrade the GPU and Motherboard. Unless you plan to overclock the daylight out of it, I'm pretty sure the 920 or 930 would be just as good.
The CPU isn't necessary, if youre gaming you would be better of buying a i7 920 and using the money you saved on a HD 5870 or 5970 (if yu really want to kick ass. Consider a SSD as well.
I'd also recommend you go with the i7 920/930, and to change that motherboard to something like the Gigabyte X58A-UD3R (roughly the same price on Newegg). The cost savings should allow you to easily get a 5870 or even a second 5850.
