I just built my 2nd computer, and I have no clue what is going on right now. It turns on but no images goes to the screen, all the fans run, motherboard lights up, DVD drive opens and closes, but it doesn't post on the monitor, could this be a gfx card problem, should I try another gfx and see if it works, or would that just be a waste of time, thanks.

the usual antagonist for this problem is your PSU. look up how to test if it is running right. if not then test the ram by putting one stick in at a time. if not remove gfx card and run with integrated graphics. if none of those work then you basically narrowed it down to the motherboard is bad

it doesnt usually tell you how to test the exact power output just if it will turn on

The PSU is fine then, it goes on, everything turns on it seems, all fans work, even the GPU fan, board lites up, any other ideas?

Try another vga and see if it works. If it does work, your gpu is faulty,or your psu isn't powerfull enough for your card.If it doesn't work though,I'd say your psu is faulty.

But he would be even less likely to have a spare gpu laying around

Try your current components on your other mobo,it should post, meaning your other mobo is faulty.

If you have a speaker on your board and not getting a post or even an error code its probably your board. Just for kicks I would pop out the cmos baaery and short out the cmos jumper for a while. Can't hurt.

contact them and you should be taken care of very soon. they are known for their service. it will be a little slow because shipping is clabbered up from christmas but still i'd say 2 weeks and you're taken care of.
