I am limping along with my current system until the new year but I am looking at buying a new tower then. I am not interested in building one. My 22 inch LCD ,DVD RW, Sound Blaster Audigy and TV tuner cards could all go into it. So can you guys point me in the direction of a good prebuilt set up that I can buy and throw a decent Video card in and be rolling reasonable. Like to stay in the $250 -$350 range. Your help is appreciated Thanks
Well do you have a power supply+ tower already? If so you can get a nice mobo+processor for $350 on newegg.com You could get a E6750 and a decent mobo.
Check out tigerdirect as they have some barebones kits. Your best bet would be to build as you can find a descent cpu/motherboard/ram combo for that price. But you're going to shell out some extra money if you want a decent video card...

OK I really want to getclose to the 3ghz range .I am not figuring a video card or OS in my pricing that is seperate.
Is there a chance I could just geta MOBO and a really good processor and stick it into my current case (ATX Deluxe Tower Case 300W) and use my HD (WD Caviar 40GB ultra 100 5400rpm 2M)and my power supply (Duro 400 watt max) for now and upgrade along the way?? How do i know what MOBO fits my case and all the connections ect??? It s a bit intimidating?? I would need some guidance.... Thank You for the replies...
