My ps3 days are over, my life is too mobile.. lots of travel and lots of work but I still get a lot of downtime. I have a macbook for work but I want it to have a decent gaming laptop for when I have time to kill. I've got about $1500 to burn, the last time I knew anything about PC hardware was right about when Crysis came out. I've been out of the loop for years. I have no clue what's good. I have no clue what's hot. I know Asus is generally a decent bet, or was in my day. I know to avoid dell.. that's about it.. I'd like the laptop to perform decently on some FPS's and RPG's coming out.. I want the most bang for my buck. I'll sacrifice screen size for graphic performance, battery power is a non-issue.. It'll be my portable desktop. Photohop, music, movies, skype, GAMES GAMES GAMES.. Speakers aren't important I used Bose headphones. I'd aprreciate it if any of you could just pick me out a few laptops.. newegg links, whatever.. Thanks!!!

yeah and pretty much anything else is going to run it poorly. you sacrifice battery life when you decide to spring for a gaming laptop. there is no happy medium

Fair enough, if hes planning to game on it whilst on the move it will be a problem though, unless hes near a power outlet :) Web browsing should last a couple of hours on power save mode anyway :)

The macbook will provide plenty of stamina if that's required. As others have mentioned, you don't buy a gaming laptop for all day outlet-free computing...
