Help regarding Battlefield Bad company 2 - R10 update Patch

Hi there,

a couple of days ago got BF:BC2 for my PC (already had the game on 360 but wanted to try it out on PC, it was on sale for just Eur19.99).

However after the installation, the auto updator program came up to check the version which was obviously old and wanted to download a patch (ver. 602574), which is about 2.4GB.. However its already 2 times that at the very final stages of the download some sort of problems happens which stops the download.

I also downloaded the patch file from 2 alternative sites but both files had some files (the exe file) corrupted so they didnt work.. without this update seems like i cannot play online which is a problem since i got the game for online and eventually wanted to buy also the Vietnam + new Map pack..

Anyone encountered the same problem? can you give me advise or else links to where i can download the patch which does work properly :)

Silly question, but did you purchase the game through Steam or a Retail copy?trastamad03

Just for your information, the map packs are free on PC

Yeah DICE does a horrible job at fixing things. I wasted hours updating only to have it stop at the end. Try redownloading the latest exe patch from a different source. Maybe the download was coincidentally stopped both times and got corrupted.
