Coincidentally or not, just after a few reviews of AMD's Radeon HD 3870 X2 popped up on the interweb, a fresh batch of pictures of Nvidia's upcoming GeForce 9800 GX2 have been put up. The Big Mac of G92 chips, the GeForce 9800 GX2 is the new dual-GPU card which is prepared for a release later this quarter, in late February if everything goes to plan. The card's clocks are still unknown but a good 'guess' would see it have a 256-bit memory interface and 1GB of GDDR3 memory. As you can see in the pictures below the card needs extra power from two connectors, one 6-pin and one 8-pin, and it has one SLI connector which could and should mean the return of Quad-SLI. Now, let's contemplate.
