Yep. Don't make things accessible, don't update anything (oh except graphics, God forbid they aren't perfect in every way), don't add in systems that make perfect sense, don't change anything, make same games as before with new graphics, seems like the only way to please fans nowadays. Even then they'll moan that you didn't change anything.

I have no problem with improved mechanics, cover systems or easier controls. The problem comes if they decide to treat the player like a dummy with crap all over the screen, highlights, or if they turn the game in to a shooter.

[QUOTE="sillaris"]hitman is not stealth when you can see around corners. It was not in the other 4 games it doesnt not need to be in ANY game. Keep that action **** wall leaning in action games

sillaris

What the hell are you talking about? I could see around corners in Blood Money and it didn't even bother me! It's something that is always present in every third person game. If you want that sort of no-peeking immersion, I suggest playing an FPS.

there was no wall leaning in other hitman games. "It's something that is always present in every third person game" thats the problem, now hitman is like EVERY game. So now I need to go play a FPS because i dont like how they killed the stealth feel of a hitman game 11 years later? Thank you Devs for making hitman just another action stealth game. I know where Im downloading this game from now.

I know we didn't have wall leaning per se, but what I meant was that we had the ability to peek around corners and down corridors without actually peeking. According to you that's an immersion breaker for H:A, when in fact it has been there all along.

It seems like long gone are the days when we can just get the mission done without killing or alerting anyone. It looks like they funnel you into action sequences now :(

[QUOTE="millerlight89"]

I just have one question. Will we still have lots of different disguises to put on to sneak around in?

Tresca_

Don't know if we'll have lots of disguises, but the footage that people were shown at E3 confirms disguises will be in the game, and that the AI will have more unique responses to them.

More details: http://www.rockpapershotgun.com/2011/06/09/e3-2011-first-look-hitman-absolution/

Yeah hopefully and like you say the AI will have more unique responses to them, sounds like they are not just settling for once your disguised your safe.

For example

"A cop tentatively follows in pursuit, inevitably succumbing to a violent choke from the waiting Agent 47 who then dons the police uniform as a disguise before walking out into the glare of the police chopper's floodlights. He draws his collar close to avoid detection, a motion that's mapped to a button and one that willwork in differing ways depending on the outfit."

Then another moment I thought it was pretty cool when I read the way he escapes and the way the scene ends., from previews the AI note his different behaviour when disguised and he also in another moment grabs a doughnut to get past swarm of cops without suspicion.

Read some preview articles they are good. The AI sounds like a very good improvment which is the sort of things I want to hear.

You know they are gonna put in action sequences to appeal to a wider public. Just like how they turned Splinter Cell into a third person shooter when it used to be the ultimate stealth game along with THIEF. Well Hitman is going down a dark path. Our only hope for the genre is Thief. I hope they don't screw that up...

Mate, get with the times. If you make a game today FULL Stealth and absoulutely no action sequences it will fail....simple. Of course the company wants to appeal to a wider public.... are you special or something?

One thing I have read in 'Edge' Magazine with an interview with the developer is the interaction with the 'crowds' will be VERY different and he said he was most excited about this new feature'...hmm?

You did play Blood Money, right? I'm all for upgrades, but the gameplay demo was a pretty underwhelming representation of what made the series so great. Now it's only a little trailer and a bite of gameplay, but it's not a great representation of what made Hitman, Hitman, and its strengths.

I will wait for full unedited mission footage before judging. Snippets really dont tell me anything.

Please refrain from posting useless comments....

Are you implying that's even remotely possible?

The game looks fine. Can't say I've seen any footage of Agent 47 going in guns blazing and taking down all those policemen by himself.

Why are people so damn upset over cover mechanic. It's a modern gameplay mechanic found in many games. Hell It doesn't hurt the game in any way.

Photoshopping the head of Agent 47 on the cover of Convinction to rile up fans after not thirty seconds of gameplay footage.

Also, I'm a fan. Hitman:Codename 47 was one of the first games I played on PC. And I've played trough each of the series at least three times.

And it's not only 30 seconds of footage. A lot is known about this game.

But thats not what made the franchise. In making it broader and more action heavy they could end up crippling themselves and end up making a flop game. Im all for new innovations but slapping something onto a game that works best without it doesn't make sense. Make the best hitman game that you can and it will sell itself

As the developer has said about the cover system "You can use cover IF you want,You can choose to use it or not"

That fact that they feel they need to add cover into the game implies that they think Agent 47 is an incompetent hitman. A hitman that typically blows his cover? Lol.

[QUOTE="FelipeInside"]That looks AWESOME !!! Can't wait... I'm a big Hitman fan too (although I never liked part 1, Hitman 2 was a masterpiece) PS1: I hate that video codec.... it's so slow and buggy, why can't everyone use the same codec as youtube... PS2: Looked at ur sig like 10 times in a row again, lol...... notice how the kid looks straight at the camera at the end....?

Haha, yeah i saw the kid looking at the camera smiling :P! anyway i love this scene!

I have a very, very, very bad opinion about multiplats games...iam talking about games that are not made for PC and optimized for KB/M...etc...Ofc there are a few exceptions...

And i think Hitman Absolution is one of the exceptions...Ofc i can find a lot of negative things to say about this game...but i wont...because those 90 sec of gameplay looked actually good to me...better yet, my impression of this gameplay footage is somewhere between "good" and "awesome"...

Iam looking forward to this game...

The graphics were nice, but I want to reserve judgment on the game until I see more footage.
