I picked up Bad Company 2 when it was on sale a few days ago and I've been trying out the multiplayer. Well I had this game on Xbox 360 a while back and I was a very decent player that got positive K/D's 95% of the time.

PC? I struggle to keep my K/D level at times. Sniping(I play recon class) is vastly different on the PC version. You obviously need much more precision but damm I didn't expect the gap to be this big.

I got to get some practice with KB/M as I havent really played online multiplayer since the days of AVP2 and CS:1.6

Anyone else made the switch from console to PC and had their asses handed to them and their manhood taken away?

Yeah i know what you mean, you cant go into fps games on the pc and expect to own on the multiplayer aspect of things, i think its just practice really. Obviously its more difficult when people have a mouse because their aim is a lot quicker and more precise than if you were gaming on a console with a controller. Like you said you used to play 1.6 (which i did too), that game you have to put hours into to become half decent xD

Having more deaths than kills doesn't mean that you're a noob. Now if people start calling you a noob...

I'm adjusting to the difference in sniping distant. Lining up your shot over long range and trying to compensate for distance + momenteum is a lot less forgiving on PC. I'm enjoying it though I don't feel like I'm being cheaped out of kills.

I haven't played in awhile and while I was never good, at my peak I was never called a noob because I would still get kills and go for objectives which are more important in a BF game generally. In fact, only time I was called a noob was by some brat who thought he was so good because he could kill a lone, stationary medic. That or my sub-concious ignoring of the chat logs is really awesome :P. As long as you're having fun, that's what counts. And if gets more fun, the more you play and the better you get :).

TBH the only reason I play on consoles is because none of my friends have PC's(apart from 1) so I game there because I find it more enjoyable to play with friends. However sniping is more rewarding. I feel 100 times as badass for a headshot on someone who is sprinting for cover. :D

Seeing as my first computer FPS was Counter Strike, coming from Halo on consoles, yes, I was manhandled very hard. Of course, I never was THAT good at FPSes, but still.

I regularly have more deaths than kills, but still do well on the overall score at the end of the round through doing a lot of support actions - healing, reviving and assists in vehicles. You do need to be more precise on PC, but then the controls allow you to do that.

I grew up on Counter-Strike (since 8 years old, have been playing it ever since), so I've been good at shooting games for as long as I can remember. Right off the bat in BC2, I've found it to be too easy of a game online. Probably was the top scoring player with a good K/D in half the matches I've played.

No but i did it the other way around. I played BC2 on my computer and got owned then i played it on my friends 360 for the first time and i was destroying everyone. Theres a huge difference between the two. Manily that i'm terrible at the one i own and great at the one i dont.

On a console it will lock onto your enemy if you're aiming close enough. On PC it won't. That's the difference.

I have heard from others and friends before, that Battlefield Bad Company 2 is quite a hard game to play, but you will learn it fast how to be good. So just keep playing lol :P

Its a whole new ball game bud (:

The level of skill peopel have a shooters on PC is way higher then on console.

Same thing happened to me when I took few years off pc gaming, when I came back I was like "Geeeez I am getting whooped now, where as before I use to do the whooping".

Just practise, grab a buddy to play with and enjoy (:

I have horrible K.D ratio in BC2, but ya know what? I make up for that with awesome healing and reviving skills (alot of the time ill get 1st-3rd place outta 32 players, just from beign medic and only 1-3 kills).

The level of competition is alot better on pc, that can be a good thing or a bad thing depending on the person (:

For me its awesome because I always have room for improvement (:

Just keep playing bud and learn the maps and there layouts and youll improve a good deal.

Also pick up Vietnam! Awesome expansion! And also people are just starting up on that game here this week so its a good time to start (;

People can laugh at me all they want for goign 2-25 in Bad Company2 in some games.. but I am ALWAYS near the top of the list for heals, objectives and revive (;

Ive had it the other way around, I hop on 360 against a bunch of guys that play cod regularly. I beat them pretty bad. Only about 2 of them were vastly better, but I wasn't very smooth with the controls since I'm not use to that controller.

I really wanted to play this on PC, after getting to the highest rank and having a high K/D ratio on 360 I want to play this to see the differences and challenge of it.

Not sure why people refer to sub-1 K/D ratios as "negative."

Maybe they mean their "net" contribution...kills minus deaths. Only game I've seen display this on a scoreboard is UT2004 with UTComp.

I'm not bragging or anything but I play so much better on the PC, especially in BFBC2 and Black Ops. I really suck at those games on the consoles. I prefer KB+M and I'm really use to it.
