What I'm asking is basically in my topic question. However, to go into more detail, what I'm trying to do is get sound from both my hdtv and my pc speakers. Right now I'm able to connect my PS3 sound to my pc speakers but don't get sound from my hdtv. I can also get sound from my hdtv if I hook to audio in cables to the hdtv but don't get sound out of my pc speakers. I do have audio out cables but when I connect them from my hdtv to my pc speakers there is no sound coming out of them.

Before anyone concludes that I have not set my PS3 or TV to handle both sounds I have considered that and changed the settings to get sound from both my hdtv and my pc speakers.

Any help on this would be very appreciated.

Its taken me over an hour to post this. 2 reasons. 1. PS3 browser sucks. 2. You need to proof read (comprehensively look over) what you write cause from topic title to actual topic it's structured quite poorly. Your specific but not comprehensive... What I'm getting is your Tv isn't outputting audio AND your trying to get dual sound sources. Is this correct? Topic title implys connection problem. Your statements implys dual sound source. You have have multiple problems and are stating it all as one. Thats confusing... ok. If your Tv isn't outputting audio but you know your speakers are working its one of two things either your Tv's RCA inputs are bad or its improper installation. 90% of the time its improper installation, (5% faulty stuff 5% gremlins) If its not bad inputs your putting your speakers cable which is audio-In into your Tvs audio-in instead of audio-out. First try the inputs/improper installation theory, then well move onto dual sound sources... Ok. Proof read before you post again.

Thanks for your input. What I'm doing right now is connecting the audio in cables from the PS3 to my pc speakers and that works. However, what I want to do (I'm trying to make this more clear) is to connect the PS3's audio cables to the audio in on my tv which gets me sound out of my tv and then go out of the tv to my pc speakers. To do that I am connecting audio cables to my audio output on my tv (white right), (red left) and then connecting them to my pc speakers. What happens is that no sound comes out of the pc speakers. Therefore, am I missing a step? Am I doing it wrong?

I'm sorry if this is still confusing, and I appreciate any input in answering my question.

Nevermind, I figured it out. I just used my hdmi to get sound for my tv and then used my audio cables from my PS3 for my pc speakers.

If audio from tv to speakers, then try to go to the tv's audio settings try to find audio output from from "varible" to "fixed" This might be better since you might get your tv shows sound also
