I downloaded and installed it, then I click on the icon on the desktop but it just opens steam, it wont let me play it.-chronogears-
Try opening up your "My Games" tab in steam and right clicking on it. Then scroll down to "launch game" and that oughta do it. Same thing happened to me.
Well your not the only one experiencing this problem. I too am taken directly to the store page in steam instead of having the game run. I have HL2:ep1 installed, and have tried installing it a number of different ways in vista. It never shows up in my game tab, and I am not sure if this is normal but there is no exe file in the Minerva sub-directory. So I can not manually add a non steam game, or run it directly from it's folder. I have tried every compatibility option with and with out, run as administrator. I am completly out of ideas, and this was the only thread I could find that even discussed this issue.
