How do you feel about the possible StarCraft delay to 2010?

I don't really care. Its probably a smart move from a marketing perspective given that releasing it at the end of this year would coincide with the likes of Bioshock 2 and Modern Warfare 2 - games that are definitely coming out this year. biggest_loserit might be. after all in this economy people can't afford to buy that many games at once
I don't care....
I'm just ready to start laughing once it is released and all the fanboys (and fangirls) of the original StarCraft start crying because the game isn't as good as the first or things were changed so much that it's not as fun to play....
Blizzard should have just let things be and never announced number 2 and just released it right under our noses. The shock of a move like that would probably have given heart attacks to some.
Oh well. I'm just going to sit back and wait to hear how the game is and then eventually down the road, I may or may not pick up a copy of it.

What delay? The game was never confirmed to be released in 2009.metalhead004
It's pretty obvious that the game was slated to be released later this year. The game was announced over two years ago and since then Blizzard had commented on how they were going to release one major product every year. You don't think D3 is coming out this year do you?
I am just glad that they are taking the time instead of rushing it out, although they still have 6 months left to prove me wrong. If I don't sound too optimistic there it's because recently I've noticed that Blizzard is becoming very greedy, and I am not just referring to splitting one game into three or no LAN play here. Let's hope that they will still stick to the "release when it's done" mantra that has brought them such success over years.
In any case I won't be lining up to buy SC2 -- if WoW and its expansions are an indication of their current definition of "done", I think I'd better off waiting for some patches and price drop.

Was delayed? Really? Some source? Last news I've reading was that closed beta probably will start with the Blizzcon in August, and the launchship of the game in stores aiming to December, words from Blizzard.
If the game will delayed to 2010 is a bad new to me beause I would love to play the game at the end of the year, and because Starcraft II and ArmA II are the two only games that keep me interested lately (DoW II was a deception to me).
As long as it means better quality, then no. And with all the other titles coming out I think I will be fine.
How do you feel about the possible StarCraft delay to 2010?

I don't care. I have over 120 unbeaten games to tie me over until then plus a bunch of new games coming out to fill the gap. Blizzard can take all the time they need to do it right, even though I don't call 3 versions and no LAN "right".
I'll go into hibernation a little longer. But I don't think it was ever announced for '09. We'll see everything we want to know at Blizzcon.
Annoyed There is really no reason why they can't get it done on time. Blizzard are just incredibly slow at making games, and yet they have WoW printing money for them, so they could easily hire more people to help get it done. Yes there is an argument for quality over speed of making it, but Blizzard really take the piss when it comes to the amount of time they take to make a game. My main annoyance with this is not so much that SC2 is delayed, but that this will knock on to Diablo 3. No way will they release their 2 main titles in the same yearAvenger1324
Activision own their souls now so they probably have to get approval to hire more people.
[QUOTE="Filthybastrd"]after all, Half Life was delayed a year. no one remembers that because the game was so goodI want it when it's done.

Well that and I didn't hear about it until 2001.
Link for official announcement of delay? And I don't care Blizzard can take their time, they can release it in 2012 for all I care as long as its a polished game. Although franky screw SC2 I want Diablo 3

People DO have hte moeny easy. Stop watc hign Faux News or whatever other american news station you watch.
What delay? The game was never confirmed to be released in 2009.metalhead004I have heard (maybe it was activision) that they wanted the game to come out in 09, but they never confirmed anything and Blizzard will only confirm when it is for sure done. Plus why would be against a game being delayed? That is like not wanting people to put tires on your car so you can have your car sooner...... But really... as of now there may or may not have been a delay since we have no idea when it was "supposed" to be or will be released. Only Blizzard knows.... well probably Activision too...

I know many people who have had their parents laid off and have been having trouble finding a job for awhile. And going to a job with benefits to a job at Walmart isn't the way they want to go. 2nd my brother finally found a job after looking for one over an entire year. And a full recovery won't happen. The only way it can happen in my eyes is if everything drops to oblivion and it has to start over from scratch because we haven't been truly "good" for more years than since the banks decided to stop caring.
