For playing games
CPU Not good
RAM OK
GPU Horrific
OS Doesn't make much difference
I assume this is a prebuilt machine.

There's a large gap in performance between a HD2600 and an integrated video chip, if thats what he's using. The G41 is only a chipset, but it does use the GMA X4500. He might be able to run the game on lowest settings, but he still won't get very good performance. If he just wants to run MW2 it's fine.. I could run it on a computer with 1.6 Ghz, 1.5 GB RAM and a 2600 HD and that was on max. settings no lag.

CPU isn't THAT bad, It's a Pentium Dual Core, not a Pentium D - it's basically a Core 2 Duo with less cache. A better GPU and you should handle MW2 just fine.

Actually, the OS does make a difference. Not the type itself but if its 32 bit or 64 bit. I tried both and the difference is huge. Def go with 64 bit, it makes your cpu so much better. For example, i played gta 4 on 32 bit and i honestly couldnt play it at all, it was just so damn laggy in singleplayer and i was playing on medium to low settings. I upgraded then to 64 bit and now it runs smooth and im playing medium to high settings, and as most know, that game requires such high requirements although it doesnt look like it does.
