well what "newer games" do you plan on playing? onboard graphics is just a big "NO DEAL" :P you might be able to play the older game like halo 1 ect.

crap, all good except the intel graphics. It might run games from 2005 or earlier but don't expect new games to run well

I'd say hl2 will work and probably source engine games but the new features wont run most likely. cod4 might run on the lowest settings, download the demos and see.

If you have a Intel GMA 4500 It may run quite lot of game at resonable Level such as World of warcraft at max graphic but beyond that you will start to notice lag You should ad someting like HD3200 if you wanted it to be a good Enough Gaming level for a laptop but if you haven't spend too much it should be quite fine

I have two laptop : one is for my mother a GMA 950 : my Father Laptop work a GMA 965 : they both have same value of ram : but a Difference of cpu by 2% in Performances and i haven't test them both but we know that GMA 965 Know as X3100 (Is much better then GMA 950 and GMA 4500 is LOT more better then X3100

The Graphics Media Accelerator (GMA) X3100is like The power is more like ofRadeon Xpress X1250 : while GMA 950 is Behind :D GMA 4500&4500HD Is like made Last summer If you want to see more about video card There this Website
http://www.notebookcheck.net/Mobile-Graphics-Cards-Benchmark-List.844.0.html
Graphics Media Accelerator (GMA) 4500M is rated #150 Possition it prety Bad but Better then GeForce Go 7300 according the test
But You said Extreme so you may have the GMA X3100 = ugh. but run WoW at Max With Standable FPS

still in my opinion if you want a gaming laptop alway avoid integrated video card of Intel Still if you ain't sure about something Asking forum here is a good thing to do before purchase a laptop if you seek the Truth :P

I hope you don't mind playing most of new game at low cause that mostly all you can afford :P
