Well, Dragonage HAS a TOOLSET ;) Id place it somewhere between BG2 and NWN, it often feels like what NWN was supposed to be, but with a somewhat akward RP system...
I generally like it a lot more then I liked the campaigns in NWN (Somewhat tied with the SoTU). No MP does mean that one of the better aspects of NWN is not preassent, but the campaign is alot better made, and the character sometimes get this really strange air around the, like they had in the BG series. (altho a bit more cliché-ish on the surface)
I think it is just about the best rpg they put out since the NWN games... I really like it. Altho the mainquest is steriotypical and youd swear you can see "Trademarked for LOTR" on atleast half the areas/monsters.
Underneath the Lore, and gameworld are fantastic, I really enjoy it alot (apart from that ghastly mage tower, the idea of playing through that a 4th time gives me the shivers).
