but to answer ur question, based on the hardware spec, it can run diablo 3 but at minimum tho.

If you consider sub-30 framerates to be "running", then yeah. Furthermore, people here aren't "windows fanboys". It's called being informed and thinking logically. There has never been a logical reason to justify to absolutely ludicrous premium price of Mac computers, and people who say there is never actually present their alleged reasons. Macs are overpriced and inferior in every measurable way. These are facts, not opinions.

i said most people here are windows fanboy, not everyone. there are few people here that actually asnwers the tc's question, as well as respects the tc's decision of buying a mac. the tc even stated that he knows he can get a better laptop but he just prefers a mac instead. so he pretty much knows what he's doing. and instead of people answering the tc's simple question, most people here would just bash apple and his decision of getting a mac.

TC, I believe you are getting ripped off, but am not going to argue, as it's your money. To answer your question, it will run, but probably not well, as in, minimum settings, and maybe lowered resolution.

But may I please ask your reasons for buying a Macbook Pro? I am genuinely interested, and it might stop all the crap you're getting from people in this thread.

I'm not going to go into much detail but I need a new laptop because my current laptop is really outdated, I prefer OS X, I dislike Windows, my iPhone 4S has always been running great and has never failed me and I just found the user experience to be really good and I find Macs to be on the same level (4S was my first Apple product in 4 years or so and I got it as a gift, my old phone was a Nexus S so I'm not blindly following Apple). I'm also getting a really good offer because I'm a student so the price difference between the Mac and other laptops I was considering is around $200 and I can afford it anyway so if it's a mistake then I don't really care but it doesn't look like it is. I should have known this topic would turn into Apple/Mac rather than if Diablo 3 can run on the MacBook Pro so I know if I should look forward to playing it when I get my MacBook next week. Thanks to the people who answered my questions :)

You might not be able to play Diablo 3 (at the default res), but nevertheless, I'm sure you will enjoy your new Macbook. :) I wish I could have one, but can't afford it. :(

People already told you it wasn't going to run well. There's plenty of posts on it.

Get the MacBook Pro with the Nvidia card in it even if its the middle tiered one. I can't stress this enough you will get so much more out of it than the Intel HD 4000. My Pro from '08 was able to run Mass Effect without any problems and I used that for the longest time until I got around to building a new machine.

Yeah, if you absolutely have to get a Mac (for whatever surely ridiculous and uninformed reason), don't get anything with Intel graphics.

I'm not using the Mac for gaming other than playing Diablo 3 so I don't think it's worth getting the one with the Nividia card. I guess I won't be able to play it on the 13". Question was answered a while ago, let the thread die...
