I'm pretty new to the world of pc building so I was wondering if I'm getting my moneys worth.

CPU:AMD FX-6300 3.5GHz 6-core

Motherboard:Asrock 970 Extreme3 R2.0 ATX AM3+

Memory:Mushkin Essentials 8GB (1 x 8GB) DDR3-1333

Storage:Toshiba 500GB 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive

Video Card:Asus Geforce GTX 650 Ti 1GB

Power Supply:Corsair Builder 500w 80 PLUS Certified ATX12V

How good do you think this build will be for games like Skyrim,Planetside 2 and Arma 3? Im going to mostly be playing on lower settings so i can get 60fps.

What are the prices of these parts and also dont get a 650ti when an HD 7850 is around the same price unless it is a good deal, and if that 500gb hard drive is more than $50 do yourself a favor and get a terabyte for $10-$20 more dollars. I am also curious about that RAM is it recommended by anyone or just trying to get the cheapest? Maybe drop that RAM to 4GB and get a hd 7870ghz, because ram is a pretty cheap upgrade and from my experience it is fine for gaming at least for the time being.

CPU- Good

MOBO- Good but the MSI 970a-g46 seems just as good for only $85

Memory- Get 4GB of RAM, it is fine for the time being and if needed in the future it is a cheap upgrade. G.skill Ripjaws ($35)

Storage- Get Seagate Barracuda (faster) 1TB or WD Blue 1TB (supposedly more reliable) for $70 unless budget is very strict and get one with less capacity

GPU- Get a HD 7850 for $160 if the extra RAM is a must for you or get the better HD 7870 for $185 if it is not

PSU- Good, but if if you would like the modular version (less of a mess) for only $10 more.

Just curious what is the case.

If your currency is US dollars then this is overpriced. The superclocked edition of the GTX 650ti boost 2GB usually runs around $150-165 in the US (its a tad slower than a stock GTX 660)
