I'm getting ready to build myself a gaming PC and I think I have everything worked out, but I would like to see what you guys think before I make a purchase. Here is the build I came up with. 1.Computer Case - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811103011 - $89.99 2.Power supply - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817182067&cm_re=750w_power_supply-_-17-182-067-_-Product - $89.99 3.Mother Board - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128388 - $64.99 4.CPU - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819115037&cm_re=intel_core_2_duo_e8400-_-19-115-037-_-Product - $167.99 5.GPU - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814150323&cm_re=9800gt-_-14-150-323-_-Product - $99.99 6.Ram - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820146773 - $49.99 ToTal cost - $557.85 The plan is to go with the 9800gt to save a bit of money and get the computer up and running and eventually save up for a better GPU. I already have monitor, OS, hdd, and keyboard/mouse. What do you guys think? Should I switch out any of those parts for something else?

With your budget, I suggest an AMD AM3 setup. You can put the saved money towards a better GPU. The PSU is more than you need (but that depends on what GPU you plan on getting in the future). Also if you plan on using Vista/7, get more RAM.

I would go with a phenom II 955 BE personally. It and a mobo would be around the same price and is both a quad core, and a lot more future proof.
