Unless you have a big monitor, the GTX would not be needed. As for the c2d, the e6600 (which is just a tad better than the 6000+) costs $53 more on newegg. c2d is only a better choice if you must have better or you are going to OC.

The biggest thing I have found out while shopping for pc parts is that you can always go up $10 on this and $20 on that, but it adds up. Oo... for another $10 I can get... Bottom line, pick a budget and DON't go over or you might just find yourself spending $100+ more than you wanted to.

Nice mobo for the price! I came up with this. How did I miss the one you picked? For only a few extra bucks, It has more RAM compacity and better upgrade potential (more cpu power for the phenom ;)). Of course, when choosing cheap parts, the extra bucks are worth while if it will last longer.

The memory is very good, stay with it. I would only change that X2 6000 with E6550 or E6750

Its not throwing money down the drain at all. You'll notice a huge performance increase.

I am sticking with amd for the fact that they have served me well for a while, not that im against intel, but this is gonna be plenty for me, and im trying to stay under 700-750 which that price didnt include shipping, but im gonna be playing games at 16x10, i think if i need to i will upgrade to a GTX later, but that ram has had good reviews as well as the mobo, but im looking at your suggestions but this seems like the best bang for my buck, Thanks for your help though guys.

Yeah dont throw your money down the drain with that mobo and processor. Why not get a P35 mobo which is future proof because it will support new 55nm and 45nm processors which will be coming out next year. Intel processors perform way better than AMDs top of line. Get like a E6450, E6550, or a E6750.

Two of those cpus you mentioned are beat by the 6000+, unless you OC. Look at these reliable benchmarks. If you consider price at all, AMD will wipe out Intel. Although, you probably get more bang for your buck with the qx6600 if you have that much money to spend.
