Not counting the arcades.....
Atari 2600 in 1985
Commodore C128 also in late 1985
NES in 1986
Tandy 1000 SX and then Commodore Amiga in 1986
Well, I started gaming on an Atari my dad had, I was probably a little over 2 years old (if that old)
Various consoles throughout the next 25 years.
For pc I started gaming around the end of '95-beginning of '96. Off and on for a while on the pc, decent amount of games covered.
Built my gaming pc back in 2008, so I could really get into the higher-end stuff. I still have the same pc (with a few upgrades, still runs games like a champ at 1080p, but plan on new build next year)
I am a console gamer, and I am a pc gamer, because I love to game. In total I have over 25 years of gaming under my belt.
Watched my aunt play the original tomb raider, then I started playing games in 2000ish.
Been a PC gamer on and off for 10 years now.
My God, I cant remember, With the Amiga 500, in 88 or So I think.
I strated playing on consoles and PCs around the same time, I got my NES at Christmas, when I was 6, and the Amiga a few months earlier.
So around I was 6 year old.
While I ain't the oldest on here by far, the memories makes me feel REALLY old XD
I think it is the reason why I have a clear divide on what kind of games should be playied on a PC, and which should be playied on a console.

I've actually been gaming on computers longer than 1985. But, those computers were from my friends. I played on their computers for a while (and evaluating the feasibility) before finally deciding to buy my own in 1985. Computers back then were quite expensive.
I've been a console gamer all my life until two years ago when my pc motherboard fried and I decided to built a new PC instead of buying a prebuilt one.
Probably the best thing that happened to me is my PC breaking.
Now I don't even touch my consoles anymore.
But now I'm always upgrading lol.
If I count Runescape, 4-5 years, if I count Civ IV as my first proper PC game, then 4 years. If we count being a dedicated buyer of PC games while having a good PC, then 6 days ago :D
So, as a newcomer, hello to all, give me game purchasing advice. Please. The summer sales are killing my wallet with all of these awesome offers.
I started playing console games around 1990, but proper PC gaming not until 1998ish. I did play a few games on our Mac (LucasArts and Bullfrog Studios games) before that, but again, not true PC gaming. My first PC gaming was on my Dad's work laptop, because we still had only Mac at home. I convinced my parents to buy a PC for the next home computer though, since new Mac games were dwindling. Then I moved out and build my own PCs ever since.
been gaming since 82 on my dad's atari, became a serious pc gamer in late 2000 early 2001, and finally purchased my first dedicated gaming pc when call of duty was first released, have not looked back and love pc gaming, since then i have had 3 more gaming pcs, and am looking at building my first custom build later this year early next.

LOL so when was that?I started gaming (in general) in 1999. Got my first PC game in around 2000 or so. Been a PC gamer for 12 years.
played duke 3d, doom and shadow warrior when i was like 5 years old (my parents still think all games are super mario bros to this day)
so always, but i've also loved my consoles, specially ps1 and ps2, id say i had more fun with ps one than with my pc at the time
I grew up on the likes of Doom, Doom II, Duke Nukem 3D, Jazz the Jackrabbit, and a bunch of shovelware until 1997 when I got a Playstation. I did heavy console gaming, getting every last generation major console and handheld (PS2, Dreamcast, GameCube, Xbox, and Game Boy Advance). I basically neglected PC gaming until 2004 when I got a new computer just in time for Doom 3, Half-Life 2, and Far Cry. Ever since then I've pretty much just been catching up on all the great games that I missed out on from 1997-2003.
Been a PC gamer since I started playing games when I was about five. I played games on the Dreamcast and the Playstation 2 but never found a reason to leave the PC in favour of hardware that will be obsolete and unattainable every few years. PC games last forever, whereas consoles have a life expectancy. That's my main reason for sticking with the PC for so long.
I thought a lot of them were 12 year olds by the way they act.Wow the PC gaming community here is pretty mature.
I started PC gaming when I got my first PC back in 98'. First PC game: C&C Red Alert.
