How long you think it will take for Halo 3 to come to PC

I have a killer PC, and I very much enjoy Halo. It has a great story with great characters, fun gameplay, co-op, and a deep multiplayer that will be very populated and active for years to come. I also have my 360, so I will be playing it tonight. The recordbreaking sales it will generate this week and the stellar reviews its gotten so far CLEARLY show this game is anything but a "sub-par shooter". I personally think Halo 3 will makes it way to PC in early 2009.

If you are gonna hate on Halo, elaborate. Don't just hate Halo because its Halo.

On PC Halo was bad game(compare to Doom or Quake or .... Duke Nukem3d) Halo 2 is even worst ( just play it on PC and find one good thing, only one good thing in whole game). So why PC gamers should want Halo 3 on PC ?? Why ?? I don`t see why so maybe I am blind ;) We will have so many good FPP-s on PC, even better than on Xbox 259 "Gears of War" - new engine, long story and of course better control. So who needs Halo 3 on PC ??

I personally hope it doesn't come to the pc cuz it won't sell for **** remember pc has hundreds of shooters in every type of theme and genre (space, ww2, scifi/horror, modern day etc.) and I've played halo sp and mp and was not impressed in the slightest there's fps's from 5+ years ago that are better in every aspect except for maybe the graphics part. For all those that like it I challenge you to tell me what's so great and innovative about it that hasn't been accomplished in so many damn great shooters out on the pc? Because I've never really seen what ll the hype has been about since halo1, just name one aspect thats different, and i don't want to here that its about a spaceman fighting aliens because there are a lot of those shooters for the pc as well.

Wow, I love the attention a Halo sig gets me. :P I explained why I love Halo. Campaign Story. Characters. Multiplayer. Co-op. I've played almost every single shooter out there on consoles and PC since Wolfenstein, and Halo is still right up there with Half-Life and Deus Ex for me.

I can respect anybody disliking the series, not your cup of tea, thats fine. But my opinion becomes somehow diminished because I enjoy a game you do not? Come off it.

Played Halo 3. Beat it on heroic. Played 20 hours or so on the multiplayer. It's a very impressive game. However, it by no means is that impressive for someone who has a PC. The reason for this is, Halo 3 is special because it literally brings console gamers the closest they have ever been to matching a PC multiplayer online experiance. Though they obviously don't get that close, it's still closer then any game before it has ever done. This is why it is highly acclaimed.

If Halo 3 came out on the PC, people would shrug it off, play the single player. Then play a bit of the multiplayer, and then likely uninstall it to play something better.

Judgeing by how long MS took to get Halo 2 on PC and the supposed dissapointment that it was I suspect the same thing will happen with number 3. I mean MS brands Halo 2 as a Vista exclusive and they advertise the game as if it's a showpiece for next-gen PC games, HELLO it's a Bl**dy 3 year old Xbox game that's had pretty much nothing improved for the PC version. And anyway, why couldn't Microsoft have released it on PCwhen it came out on the Xbox 3 years agoanyway?and why make it Vista exclusive if the game was originally designed to run on what is essentially DirectX 8 hardware(i.e. The original Xbox) Given that from what I've heard that the graphics in the game are a bitcrap by modern PC standards, and I doubt that the Graphics engine will upscale to the sort of quality that we're seeing from current DirectX 10 footageI think that MS is just using the Vista Exclusive thing to boost sales of the OS ,so I believe that they'll probably do the same for number 3, let's see if it takes them 3 years to make a lazy PC conversion ofa great Xbox 360 classic. This is not about "hating halo", but when I played Halo 1 I really, honestly, thought it was boring as HELL. All the weapons in the game are just "point in general direction of enemy and fire until he dies". The game is also very slow. Not my taste. The level copying in Halo 1 was also inexcusable. I haven't played Halo 2 so I can't comment on that, but I'm not really excited about Halo 3. It's always been my impression that Halo 1 got big simply because it was the first decent shooter on consoles.

The game just feels bad (for me atlest). The jumping is extremely floaty. I didn't like fighting the flood. It felt like the only way they could increase the challenge was throwing more dudes at you at once. Most importantly though, just killing stuff wasn't fun for me. Spray and wait until they die.

I really wanted to like Halo seriously, I was so excited about the game, but I just hated it. It just gets annoying when so many people are touting it as the greatest series ever. The driving was exciting though, and the shield system innovative
